The SaSi, a clitoral stimulator- the new "hot" thing?

Is this toy the new hot thing or is it just really hot? I found the SaSi to create a lot of heat, therefore making me a little numb. I love the idea of the SaSi, but I'm not ready to call off the search for the perfect toy.

I love the idea of the SaSi- An intelligent toy that remembers what you like. This is what I've been missing in a man! But I'm not quite ready to ditch the guy after my first try with the SaSi. This toy is intended to emulate oral sex by the movement of a small ball under a thin layer of silky silicone.

When I saw the Eden Fantasys video review, I had to have one; however after using the toy, I have my doubts. The SaSi became very warm after just 10 or so minutes of use. While I completely understand that some women may enjoy that, there are even toys made specifically for such purpose, I do not dig the heated feeling. I did not read that this toy has an intended heated feature, leading me to believe it is a side effect of the motor. After experiencing the intense warmth for a period of time, I felt a numbness and discontinued use. After about a half hour of use, it was as warm as it is going to get. It feels very warm but it would not burn you. I think it's more a factor of being on such sensitive skin.

The SaSi does have its highlights. The packaging, as well as the toy, is very well put together and pleasing to the eye. It comes in a rather large black rectangular box made of dense cardboard/card stock type material. It has a compartment for the toy and another for the instructions and charger. The packaging is good for safe storage of the toy; it is discreet because the box is not see through and doesn't have photos on the outside.

I had an easy time following the directions enclosed in the box but a difficult time finding the English portion, as the text is along side several other languages on the same page. The pamphlet also gave instructions on how to clean it and charge the toy. The cleaning instructions are simple, you can take the underside of the toy off and wash it separately. However, the entire toy is not submersible. There are detailed instructions as to how to do this in the instructions. The SaSi has a port for recharging and a rubber stopper atop of it. The stopper is secure and you won't have to worry about getting lube in the outlet. A full charge takes about an hour, with an LED indicator, and lasts for about 2.5 hours (vibrations may lessen time charged). The remainder of the toy is silicone with plastic control buttons and a plastic cover over them.

The toy itself looks a lot like a computer mouse and wouldn't be easily discovered by children. It is similar in size as well; the toy is about five inches in length. The size was good for use, however I have some reservations about the lack of curve in the body. I had some trouble positioning it.

The modes "favorites" and "customize" worked as described by the manufacture. The favorites mode is preprogramed when you buy it, and over time with usage, the SaSi remembers your personal favorites. To create personal favorites, you put the SaSi in customize mode. It will go through a series of movements and you push the center "don't stop" button when you like something, thus creating a favorite. I do want to mention that I had a somewhat difficult time actually pressing the buttons (there are five). They are very firm and it is a little distracting having to press so hard on the buttons to change to the next pattern. The vibrations were stronger than anticipated. They are not pinpointed into the ball on the toy but rather throughout the entire base. This makes it a little louder than some other rechargeable toys. It gets 3 bees and may be heard through a closed door. There seem to be two adjustments to the level of vibrations.

I would travel with this toy as it has a secure on/off feature. It comes with a platform that can be taken off the box to set the SaSi on top of- this way it keeps the ball and silicone from getting dirty or destroyed. The silicone would pick up lint and dirt if not kept in a clean place. I might be cautious during travel to ensure the underside of the silicone is protected because it is on the thinner side, so it doesn't rip or tear.
Follow-up commentary
I decided to return the Sasi in search of a real favorite. I wish it was the toy for me because the concept is such a great one, but alas it is not. For the expensive price (though it has recently gone on sale) I opted to spend it on another vibrator. Stay tuned!
