Bottle rockets Saturn - traditional vibrator by Evolved Novelties - review by Tori Rebel

The Saturn model of the Evolved Bottle Rockets line is cute and tiny and comes in an absolutely adorable plastic bottle package. The bottle is 5-1/2" long and 6-1/2" around. It's clear, has a permanent soda bottle type lid, and is covered in bright pink script with the name of the toy and the Evolved logo around the screw-off base. To get the toy out, you have to first unscrew the bottom of the bottle. There's then a ring that screws into the bottle base that's in between the toy and the battery cap. Remove the battery cap, slip the ring that holds the toy upright in the bottle off, and then put the battery cap back on. If you don't mind the little bit of space it takes up and the extra few seconds it takes to get the toy in and out of the bottle, it's definitely sturdy enough and worth keeping for storage. It's also insanely cut and would make a great gift or even stocking stuffer. In my book, very few companies do as well of a job as Evolved when it comes to presentation, especially for toys not in the super high price ranges.

The toy itself is quite tiny. It's 4-1/2" long total with 1-1/2" of that being the battery cap. It's got a bit of an hourglass figure, with a narrow section in the middle and a more rounded bulb at the top. The widest point of this toy measures just 1" across making this very non-intimidating and perfect for even beginners. The vibrator is made of a medium purple velvet cote plastic and has a thinner velvety finish than some others, but it still decreases the drag against the skin and gives it a pretty matte tone. The base is a shiny hard plastic with a siilvertone ring at the top of the cap and the Evolved logo printed on it in silver as well. The entire body of the toy has small rounded ripples or rings up and down it for a little extra sensation and detail.

The operation of this toy is just as simple as the design - the battery cap unscrews to take 1 AA battery with a rubbery button at the bottom that turns it on and off. The vibrator isn't out-of-this-world strong, but should be more than enough to bring most women to orgasm through clitoral stimulation. It is slightly buzzy but it's a hard plastic toy that runs off of one battery so a rumbly vibration would be nearly impossible to get from a motor that would fit in this toy and function off of it's power supply. It is fairly quiet, similar to the vibration noise of my cell phone, which just adds to its benefits as a very discreet toy.

This toy is quiet and small enough to be used just about anywhere, even in a bedroom in a shared house or apartment, or in the shower or tub. This toy is waterproof and mine has ever been submerged in the bath and no harm has come to it. It would make an awesome gift, because not only is the packaging adorable and very novel, but the toy is actually really effective. I think this is great for beginners, but not something more advanced users should just glance over either. It does only have one speed and most toy users already have something small and discreet but if you're looking for something with a little texture or to travel with, this one is definitely affordable enough to try and comes from a very reputable company.

This toy is pretty low maintenance as they go. It's plastic which means it's easy to clean and just barely porous. This particular toy is also phthalate-free and latex-free for those with material sensitivities. It can be used with any kind of lubricant you might like and can be cleaned with soap and water or toy cleaner. You may want to use a nail brush or something similar to get into the crevices of this toy, because they could hold onto bacteria easier than a non-textured toy. If you choose not to keep the bottle for storage, this is small and non-reactive enough to be stored just about anywhere, among other plastic toys or hidden in a drawer or purse.

The nice thing that makes it work so well for clit stimulation is that the motor is in the very tip of the toy. This makes pinpointing where you want to use it very easy. The ringed texture is also just barely noticeable when it's run along delicate parts, making it add just a little extra pleasure, but nothing uncomfortable or rough. This doesn't mean that clitoral teasing is all the toy is good for though. It will also bring pleasure to the vaginal lips, outside of the anus, nipples, and anywhere else you enjoy a little vibration. It could be used for vaginal penetration, especially for those just beginning with toys, but for most it will simply be too small to be effective. This is definitely not a toy for anal penetration as it could get lost way too easily.

While I don't usually reach for this toy at home, and I've kind of given up on the cutesy packaging, it has become my go-to travel vibe. It can be thrown in any suitcase, overnight bag, or purse for some effective fun without giving up much space or letting the world know what you're carrying.
