I've definitely decided that parodies are fun, based on my limited viewing of last month's porn club movies and a vague memory of one scene from something that may or may not have been Debbie Does Dallas.

However, I do read erotica, and for that I like a variety, including male/male as well as male/female and female/female, and I'll read anything from extremely vanilla romantic stuff to pretty creative BDSM, so long as it feels true to the characterizations presented.

And I like a little plot with my porn, because I'm weird and I've been spoiled by fandom, which supplies extremely complex sci-fi plots interwoven with detailed sex scenes of a variety of orientations. I'm guessing that regular porn will not mix male/male scenes into primarily hetero flicks, but if it did, I'd be all over that sort of thing.

It depends on what I am in the mood for. I do like the All-Sex movies (movies without a plot that just feature sex), sometimes on a specific sex act. I really like the box sets for these. Yeah its just sex without plot, but I really like it. Plus you get a 10 disc 50 hour set and you have a lot of fun/time going through the set. (Some sets repeat scenes, which sucks)

as for Hentai, I have not had the chance to buy much of it, but I do have a copy of Dragon Pink (all episodes, 1, 2, & 3), Sailor and the 7 Ballz, Masquerade (Pretty soft core). There are a lot of Hentai movies I would love to watch, La Blue Girl, Bible Black.

I am more into the Hardcore porn than softcore. I am not as much into the BDSM but a lot are.

We actually discussed having a hentai group a long time ago. It would have been something like porn club but on a smaller scale. The idea kind of fizzled because hentai is a totally different animal as far as company relationships and logistics.

In order for it to work, it would actually need to be a sort of 'discount' club. We would have to purchase the titles specifically for the club, and then the club members would be offered reduced prices on the DVDs.

If anyone is into getting hentai at a discounted rate and forming a club, let me know. If enough people are interested we could certainly revisit the concept.

Not particularly. There are certain stars I like, but I'm more likely to pick movies by directors I like. (Tristan Taormino, Eddie Powell, and Paul Thomas spring to mind.)

Not particularly. But there are some that I avoid: Interracial (which tends to be a codename for fairly racist views), POV (which I find disconcerting and usually boring), Fetish (I usually just don't get it), Bondage/Domination/S&M (also not my thing), orgy/group sex (I prefer to focus on couples).

My girlfriend and I both wish there were more films in the bisexual category. (By which I mean the standard porn definition. In mainstream porn, girl-on-girl is included in straight porn, but if two dudes come within five feet of each other for any reason other than DPing a woman, then it's "bisexual".) Most of what is made is crap, and the few decent ones (such as The Bi Apple) are barely marketed and hard to find.

I like features, as long as they're well made. (Paul Thomas and Eddie Powell are good at making movies that feel like movies which happen to have sex in them, rather than porn where someone's tried to stuff plot between unrelated scenes.) Badly done features where the sex scenes don't fit into the story or the actors forget what their characters are as soon as the sex stats are really annoying. (A lot of Wicked films fall into this category.) At that point it's better to abandon plot entirely.

My girlfriend is less interested in plot than I am. But she's also a lot more picky about sex scenes. She can't stand certain directors, who have a habit of basically making the same scenes over and over again. (When Brad Armstrong first started directing, he was among the worst offenders in this department. My girlfriend was pretty good at predicting exactly what activities/positions were coming up when watching his early movies. Brad Armstrong's directing of sex scenes gotten better recently, though.)

We both hate movies which have loud music in sex scenes. Ugh. We also dislike movies which feel like extended music videos (Michael Ninn movies come to mind) with random visuals, annoying editing and special effects, etc.

We like Tristan Taormino's Chemistry series. Unscripted reality can work well for porn (as long as it's edited well, and they find performers who are actually interested in having sex with each other)

Not often, but I've enjoyed a few. Most just don't work well. My girlfriend rarely enjoys them.
