However, when I experience "severe" pain, whether from an injury or from BDSM activities, I tend to laugh uncontrollably when the adrenaline kicks in. A combo of yelling/moaning, silence and laughing for me. I have yet to cry but I would like to experience that kind of release one day.
My boyfriend doesn't mind me laughing, but he isn't exactly a dom. Their isn't really a power play aspect to our relationships or scenes.

I've heard this happening to a lot of people and even seen one girl (I forget her name) in porn who giggles the harder things get. I thought it was endearing when she did it. It was nice to see how different people react differently in porn. You'd think from 99% of it that all people do is moan.

i've heard of quite a few people who laugh or get silly when they are processing pain. i, personally, have a variety of responses that usually don't involve laughter, but it's not unheard of for me to laugh. I am usually really quiet. I cry with penetrative intercourse or when sensation becomes a bit overwhelming (in a good way). I only laugh if I'm severely injured. I laugh if a bone is broken, or if I'm at a level 9 or 10 pain where I need to see a hospital.

My pet reacts to intense pain by laughing. Generally, this is the bad sort of pain, so I know to stop immediately.
