Laughing through the pain?

Contributor: Faeya Faeya
I always see pictures of people being paddled or whatever and crying from it. However, when I experience "severe" pain, whether from an injury or from BDSM activities, I tend to laugh uncontrollably when the adrenaline kicks in. Fortunately for me, Dragon knows that's how I react to pain and doesn't give me any trouble about it. However, I have to wonder how another Dom would react to it. So, how do you react to pain?

Yelling/moaning, usually. Sometimes silence, depending on the intensity!

Pain in general makes me laugh almost every time. Attempting to hold it back never works.

A combo of yelling/moaning, silence and laughing for me. I have yet to cry but I would like to experience that kind of release one day.

My boyfriend doesn't mind me laughing, but he isn't exactly a dom. Their isn't really a power play aspect to our relationships or scenes.

Awesome. Good to know I'm not alone. I swear, looking at/watching porn, you'd think there was something wrong with me...

I've heard this happening to a lot of people and even seen one girl (I forget her name) in porn who giggles the harder things get. I thought it was endearing when she did it. It was nice to see how different people react differently in porn. You'd think from 99% of it that all people do is moan.

I usually yell. The word "fuck" is used a lot. Moaning also happens. I'm just a vocal person.

All of the above, and occasionally, depending on the type of pain, running commentary on how my top is a jerk, that really sucked, and I don't love him anymore.

i've heard of quite a few people who laugh or get silly when they are processing pain. i, personally, have a variety of responses that usually don't involve laughter, but it's not unheard of for me to laugh. Usually i moan, cry, yell, scream, thrash, or if it's really turning me on and activating that pain as pleasure masochistic side of me, i will often gasp and sigh.

depending on the pain, I really can react any way. Usually I end up sounding like a little girl that just found her g-spot. Oh, I'm a guy btw.

I am usually really quiet. I cry with penetrative intercourse or when sensation becomes a bit overwhelming (in a good way). I only laugh if I'm severely injured. I laugh if a bone is broken, or if I'm at a level 9 or 10 pain where I need to see a hospital.

For me it depends on how much pain and the situation, but a lot of times I'm either silent or I just start laughing.

Cursing, hissing/gasping and moaning/crying out all happen with me but when it gets really intense I turn into a total gigglebox. Only recently have I discovered that reaction!

I moan, I gasp, I yelp. Never giggle though. I rarely smile or laugh when it comes to sex, which I find unfortunate. I want to have a Stoya face sometimes to match my feelings, but I usually have a very intense, concentrated wince/grimace/expressi on on my face--just seems to come naturally.

I chose other because I do all of the above. I have laughed when a spanking hurt like a b$%&@! All that got me was a harder spanking because he thought I was laughing because he wasn't doing it hard enough. USUALLY I moan, yell out, etc...

i giggle a lot...it usually only gets me in trouble. lol. A yell/gasp/moan usually comes before the laughter. I look forward to the time when things get so intense that I cry. I'm still a noob, so there are things we haven't gotten to just yet.

I usually try and remain silent in rebellion- if the pain is noticeable, he wins- but we've also never reached the point where I felt like crying, screaming, or laughing was a reaction. Laughing is completely understandable, I know a cancer patient who intentionally laughs during physically painful situations.

I either laugh or cry. It depends. I think it's pretty common, though.

My pet reacts to intense pain by laughing. Generally, this is the bad sort of pain, so I know to stop immediately.
