Haven't done too much of it, but the SO does have quite long nails and I do like the feel of them scratching me a bit--not sure how down I'd be with deep digging or anything that would leave marks, but I'm open to it.

Not really into that because I've had scratches in a most uncomfortable place before. The other concern is also what's under their nails, guys aren't always the best at using a nail brush and cleaning them.

Yes. My partner sometimes has long nails because he forgets to trim, but also knows I find them lovely. So, it doesn't take him much to scratch sometimes. But my complaint is that he does it without much art? He doesn't enjoy the feeling himself so I think he doesn't quite know how to do it?

Funny--opposite here, I'm a little embarrassed to say. My male partner sometimes has long nails, but he cares for his more than I care for mine. I work with my hands a lot and my nails are often a bit dirty.
