Generally my partner and I agree on one beforehand. "Stop" is most common, but we've used NAFTA before.

Green-yellow-red has always been my standby, but "lawsuit" sounds like a hilarious idea. XD

As long as you don't have velvet sheets or a velvet outfit (and I certainly don't) that's a good one. :]

My boyfriend isn't nearly as kinky as I am, so I haven't needed one, nor have I even thought of one in ages.

If I am not gagged then my favorite is "Stop or I'll kill you when I'm free...." I don't do submission well LOL
Seriously though I usually use "no" in another language so it can't be confused.

I'm probably too good of a submissive, even if I get hurt, (unless it's way too painful) I generally keep my mouth shut.

It's a really good option. :]

Jigglepuff. Bubblepuff. "Stop" in another language.
We change it often. We once used "dingleberries&qu ot; because of a young adult book where the protagonists often gets on each others' nerves for fun, so they use this word to tell the other to stop, it's enough.
Also, Jigglepuff means stop now, bubblepuff stop "slowly" after going smoother.

Ours is potato, but I like the color idea. Last night I forgot our safe word and yelled out "BURRITO!!" We stopped so we could laugh. It was very entertaining.

If you ever forget your safeword, just saying "safe word" itself is always a good safeword too. *laughs*

We don't have a safeword. But then again we don't engage in "non-consensual" roleplay, so a simple "no" that's firm enough is fine. But if the "no" is moaned then I know it's good but I should relax a bit.

We use the colors, yellow to ease up red to stop. Those to are used just in the bedroom. We have another safe word it is "ashes", it's not for scenes though, it's a discrete way for me to tell him when we are out in public or around family or friends that the situation is causing me to much anxiety. It spares the feelings of people around us who don't understand panic and anxiety disorders

I said "A type of Object" because there wasnt an "other" option... I use the traffic light system. Green, Yellow, Red: Green being go, Yellow being slow down, and red being stop. =D easy peazy lemon squeezy ^.^
