My favorite is split between bit and open mouth gags, but I will say that I much prefer bit gags. They're just so adorable, I really love them. My partner actually didn't prefer any (she was very...particular and picky) so I cannot breach for her, but MY favorite to put on a person is definitely bit gags.

Okay, so this is really weird, but I like wearing my dental gag just around the house, not during play. It makes me drool a lot and I like that. Just for around the house kind of wear, like when writing a paper or watching tv.
However, for play I love my bit gag. It makes me drool the most and it is super comfortable. <3

I prefer to a bit gag because for the most part they don't interfere with my breathing like a ball gag sometimes can. I've never tried an O ring.

Admittedly, when I saw the title for this I thought you were referring to gags, as in stuff like whoopie cushions. heh
I don't use gags, so I have no preference.

So far I've only tried a ball gag, and I hated it. In all honesty though, it's hard to measure what size you need (mine was probably too big) and the material felt awful in my teeth. With the right size and material, maybe? I prefer to have some fabric tied and stuffed though so I can't talk but my jaw doesn't get locked in one place. By using the same piece of fabric to tie and stuff, I can also make sure nothing gets caught in my throat like it might if I used separate gag material.

I love ball gags or similar insertable gag piece styles, although bit gags also look really hot to me. O ring gags are not for me though...it's just too medical for me, if that makes any sense. If I wanted all that I'd become a dentist, lol. No disrespect to those that like O ring gags, just my personal preference.

I'm going to have to go with O rings, mainly because I can't figure out if there is something wrong with me or what, but no matter how tight you buckle a ball gag I can still push it out, but an O ring sits behind my teeth eliminating that problem.

I just ordered a breathable gag. I will be facing one of my limits and I'm excited to see how this will go. It is certainly less drastic than the ball gags and I don't think I will ever get used to having my mouth gagged fully. I'm a mouth breather and it just freaks me out.

balls gags are a bit too much for me and I haven't tried an o-ring gag but it doesn't sound too pleasant

I love bit gags because they give me something to just bite on. I get really bitey when things get intense or super pleasurable. My partner's left shoulder is constantly bruised from getting nommed during sex.
