I was just thinking about this the other day, for those of you who enjoy impact play with your kink, how do you like to give or recieve that play? For me, it depends on what is being "hit". If we're doing spanking, I almost always prefer being bent over Master's knee, or laying down. If it's another part of the body like my tits or clit, I like laying down or kneeling. What about you?

Over my lap, kneeling, standing up, or bent over are all good ways. My favorites, though, are bent over my lap or kneeling. Standing up is only done if the wrists are suspended - it's not something that I engage in often, but I do like it. Standing and kneeling are my two interrogation positions, they're the ones that I like most for that.
It's almost the same as you though, Kitty - the position depends greatly on the area that I feel like hitting and the reason for the impact play. Over my lap is the most loving impact play, but the others are usually for punishment or to please my more sadistic urges.

We prefer bent-over positions as to standing up ones since the boyfriend is a tad bit bony and hitting him anywhere but his butt can cause unneeded hurt because there isn't any padding. If we had a spanking bench, I'd be in heaven.

I am often bent over a kneeling bench or standing with my wrists bound suspended above my head. I think I enjoy standing more, my Dominant can get to any part of my body that he wishes, and I love being bound.

I tend to fall into the "laying down" category, but that's mainly because (for me) impact play comes in as an interlude during penetrative sex. So it's like: pull out, flip me over, spanking/flogging/padd ling, flip back over, resume sexin. *laughs*

I enjoy the disciplinary, constricting feeling of OTK. For some impact implements, that's just not possible, in which case lying down is great.
Standing is distracting for me, as is being bent over (hurts my neck eventually).

Depending on what body part is being spanked it depends on the position that I'm in. Laying down is also an okay position but I enjoy the intimate feeling of an OTK spanking. I like the ability for my partner to hold me as I float off into "sub space" so OTK tends to work well for that. =)
