Does anyone know how small of a dildo base will stick to this? The suction cup is 3 inches across, will a base smaller than that still work?

The suction cup would probably not work on a smaller base. If you're ok with sacrificing the advantages of a smaller base, you may be able to attach a larger base to the toy?
