Fur tends to make my partner happiest, though it does depend a lot on the style of cuff.

I prefer rope. But if I had to choose cuffs, any of these are great. Fur or fleece-lined are the best for short-term wear. I am a big fan of the feel and smell of leather. But all of those are going to make your wrists sweaty. Hopefully you'll be so distracted by the other goings-on, you won't give a damn about your wrists

Leather lined can get really hot and sweaty causing the cuff to rub and chafe the skin. Fur lining can mat down after a while or if you sweat meaning you will feel whatever the cuff is made of after a few uses. Fleece lined seems to hold up best but can be thin and ineffective at preventing the cuff material from digging into the skin of the wrists. However all of them can be good if the cuff fits properly; ie: snugly and comfortably.
If you are planning to hang by the wrists I recommend using a cuff made specifically for this as that is very stressful on the wrists, elbows and shoulders.

Mm, fur. :3 I don't mind leather-lined either. The set of cuffs I do have are all soft leather. But my friend has a set lined with soooft rabbit fur, and I love them!

I have both, and would have to say the use is situational. The faux is generally more comfortable, but as already mentioned runs a little hot.
