yes and no. i currently have my athletic trainers here at college use electrostim to treat and manage my torn labrum until i get home to get stuff taken care of. at first i love the tingling sensations on my skin when its on a light setting, but i use it at a higher level for the pain relief. same concept, different uses pretty much. good luck
