Orange. It's zesty and doesn't rhyme with any other word out there, so it can't be mistaken for anything else.

Something that isn't too easy to say, but comes to your mind immediately if you need it.

Mine is ridiculous but it works -- Watermelon.

It is totally out of the ordinary but it definitely is a good safeword.

Hmmm. I don't know. We don't have "safe words" except for "stop." Tends to work really well actually. He'd never keep doing something if I said stop or "ouch!"

What's something you both like? Any special memories together like maybe a camping trip? If so, you're word could be "tent."

You want it to be easy to understand and remember. The various fruit names work well. Me I like to remove unambiguity and go with something like "safeword" or "lawsuit" (this one some times work outside the bedroom too )

You might also consider nonverbal safe words like having a bell in your hand you could ring or drop as your safe word.
