For those of you who have tried floggers and love, like, or hate them, what draws you or pulls you away from them? Do you enjoy more of a sting or a thud? And what material is your favorite?

I LOVE the feel of a thuddy flogger, especially the elk twins that my partner has. His horsehair flogger is also nice as well as the ends provide quite a sting and bring me to that wonderful edge.

i seriously love thuddy floggers. Oh my god, do i love them. Leather. Like, thick leather, buffalo or just really high quality cow, either a big flogger or a thick dragon tail.

Stingy things are... interesting. Every try wire or ziptie floggers? The zipties are actually really cool. Wire is extremely painful. Puts me in a good mental state, but not the same as thuddy things. Thuddy things make me moan and just consume my entire body.

So. Good.

As a top, I love thuddy floggers more. It allows me to feel a little more safe about being rougher without worrying too much about hurting the bottom. Plus, I enjoy knowing that it's more like a massage than anything else, so they are definitely enjoying it.

Speaking on behalf of my slave, however, he does enjoy the thuddy (or fluffy - he loves soft furs) ones to begin with or just for play when he's upset. After the thuddy, however, he loves some light swings with a stingy, then a really hard slap with it.

I'm really excited to be getting a barbed wire flogger in the future.

Floggers (and riding crops) are really my favorite two impact toys.

You're just an exciting person because my Dom definitely likes stingy floggers more. It's rater unfortunate.

i've never actually tried a fluffy flogger. That sounds so fun!!!

They're pretty amazing. They do pretty much absolutely nothing. If you want something of comparable feel, make a denim flogger. All you need is some heavy-duty glue, a pair of scissors, old jeans, and a dowel. Cheap, fast, and it's so nice and soft.

It depends on the situation, truly. For punishment, stingy of course (but I generally do not use floggers for punishment, I use either my hand, belt, paddle, or my nine tail whips). For longer play, thuddy. It also depends on what I'm in the mood to use.

I like thudy at lot...elkskin particularly. It IS like a massage. That said, I get more excited by the stingier ones that definitely are NOT like a massage. I have a very small rubber one that stings like crazy but I love it on my breasts and pussy. Can't decide whether I like a flogger or crop better, though. I go back and forth.

They do use a flogger on some Kink.com shoots where the tails are somehow electrified. It looks fantastic, even when they just drag it over the body. MMMMMM

It depends...I like thuddy much better because it keeps my noise to a minimum, but the stingy floggers allow for more pain faster...which means I get beat for less time. If I am crazy stressed I like thuddy because he can go longer on me.

Definitely the thuddy ones. I enjoy the sensation more but also I tend to scar easily and a stingy toy that may cut up my bottom would be no good!

Also a fan of a bare hand!

I haven't gotten to try a thuddy one yet! We just ordered one yesterday, so hopefully it'll be in soon. Maybe by our next play party! I love the stingy one we have though, it's fantastic.

I love the feel of a thuddy flogger and paddle and I hate the stingy ones. I like being flogged for long periods of time so if they are thuddy I can last longer.

Gee, I HAD been wondering what to do with those old jeans that I don't like anymore! The thrift store will have to make do with other clothing items.

Typically, I prefer thuddy floggers, because they basically make the whole area vibrate a bit, and that's never a bad thing. A little sting is okay sometimes, but I'm more a fan of the power exchange than of actual pain.

thuddy. I definitely prefer thuddy to stingy.

As the one doing the flogging, I prefer the feel and sound of a heavy, thuddy flogger every time.
