Which of these starter collars is the best?

Contributor: Jake'n'bake Jake'n'bake 12/10/2011

I've been contemplating buying a collar off here for a while, but I'm still debating which one would be better. It will be my first official collar, for me as well as another, and I've narrowed it down to three choices.

Thoughts?

I have an extremely sensitive neck, so buying a collar is, for me, a little bit more difficult than it should be. Factors include material type, tightness, and weight - things that are softer, able to be loosened and not too heavy on the weight spectrum do better for me.

I would say the one with fur, since it's padded. However, my personal preference would just be a plain black leather collar that's made with softer leather. I suggest this or this since they both are made with nice, soft leather.

The fur one is best.

Out of those? I'd agree and say the one with the fur lining, but with a little elbow grease you could just buy the one you like the look of and sew a lining that won't irritate you neck on.

I have the collar with fur and it's really soft. It can be easily adjusted too.

For comfort, go with fur-lined.

The collar with fur looks like the most comfortable choice

I like the blue one. Though for comfort, you might want to pick something cushioned

I always look for something lined whether it be lambskin leather or faux fur. Unlined leather collars tend to get itchy and uncomfortable.

I find that the fur/fleece lining makes it a lot more comfortable, especially for extended wear.

Thankyou for all the feedback, guys! It seems I'll probably be getting the with-fur one.

When I'm able to spend more money on a longer-term collar, I'll definitely be getting one of those two you mentioned, Sir. They look absolutely divine.
