Hello everyone! Welcome to the Build a Better Eden Community Planning thread for June.

Think of this thread as the official Community Suggestion Box. This month we want to focus on new ideas. Do you have any ideas that you would like to share with the community? I was trying to think of more ways for us to all get to know each other a little more. Please feel free to share any other ideas or suggestions as well, of course!

I love the flash your stash that's been happening. That is a great way for people to get to know one another! But it's mostly about whoever is flashed. Maybe we could do something smaller along those lines for everyone to be able to introduce and get to know one another? Maybe just simple every month have an event about out favorite toys and trivia about Eden and the toys for us all to join and get to know one another?

Maybe have a system of photo/descriptive badges on our profiles that indicate our interests in types of sex toys. (ie: gender, sexual identity, lingerie, butt toys, vibrators, Bondage, etc). I'm thinking along the lines of video game loadout icons.

Kind of like when you are on the community or review page and the members have their favorite toys next to their name. I guess it might be redundant though.

I love this idea of the badges on our page.

I as well love the contest/games etc. that EF does around the holiday times, ex. Dressing up your toys, maybe we could do something like that once a month, like the Pinterest contest is run.

Or maybe more of a double points system once a month, even if its just for a day or maybe a week. Maybe switch it up and do different categories each month, ex male toy reviews get double points for a week in Jan, lingerie reviews get double points for a few days in feb, community post get double points in march for a few days, etc. Change it up a bit so everyone gets a little more involved each month.

Have some kind of pre-order system. It is so frustrating when what you want to purchase is out of stock for months. When it does come back in stock it is out of stock again within days or sometimes hours. I am not sure why more of popular items are not ordered and why it takes so long to restock. If you had a pre-order system, you would have guaranteed sales. I love EF and am willing to wait if I know I can order it and get it within say a month.

Less out of stock items, and what is coming back quicker. Other than that I would love to see badges that we can put on our own personal sites that are an "I <3 EDENFANTASYS" image which links back to the site (and possibly can include affiliate codes). This lets someone who has a personal website or blog be able to advertise for the site without people ignoring it because it looks like an add.

I love the Flash Your Stash and Eden Lit Club. The workshops would also be nice again. I know that they take a great deal of preparation time and work, but it gave those of us who are crafty some options, and also a great deal of good information that you can't find anywhere else.

I like this idea too! Maybe there could be a way to "earn" badges that signify an "expertise" in a certain area. I know you've written some awesome reviews on anal toys and prostate stimulators so you would earn the "anal expert" badge after a certain amount of reviews. They could be earned after something like 20 reviews on one type of item.

I know that the review page for each category shows you the "experts" from that category (example: dildo experts) so maybe it wouldn't be too tough to add that to our profiles as well.

I'd love to see a pretty standard questionnaire that all members can fill out and post on their wall. (maybe if you post it on your wall, you can get points... Or even an scavenger hunt for Eden's 11th birthday using this type of idea?)

This way, everyone can get to know everyone a little more than just reading in the Forums.

Another idea would be when there is a new member, they get an automatic email with a simple questionnaire in it, a link to post in the Welcome New Members section in the Forums.

One other suggestion I have, and I know it may never happen, but is it possible to change some of the times for some of the clubs? I'd love to participate in some of them, but they always happen so early in my morning... I seriously cannot justify waking at 4am for an EF meeting. I know this might work for a lot of people on the other side of the world... but... it'd be neat to see if it can be more internationally friendly.

If a pre-order system were put in place, points would not be allowed for those purchases.

For the weekly Rumbles, rewarding the Runner-Up with 1000 points, and/or even just acknowledgement. I thought of this suggestion initially in #Rumble - How interested are you? (everyone's feedback needed) thread and it sounded like it was doable.

On a similar note, I wonder if it would be possible to have a poll for the Rumble in which you can't see how many votes each Review has. I understand it wouldn't be something immediate, but maybe down the line.

Good suggestions, I fear it would be quite the headache though. If you can't see the votes, I don't think anyone would think that was fair. Everyone pretty much votes for their friends anyway.

I don't. I go through and read them and then vote for which one I thought did the best job. To think that "EVERYONE" votes for their friends is a really big under estimation of the good in people.

Another suggestion I have to offer is the ability to update a follow-up review. I understand why the original review closes after awhile, but I think it could be helpful if the original review could remain open. Why? Because when buying new products, it can put previous products into perspective.

I would love to be able to pre-order items that are sold out. For me, I would love to see 1x/2x and 3x/4x lingerie coming in. The last actual 1x/2x item that came in was the Vintage Rose line.

I like the double points as they are, where it's a surprise and no one knows exactly what will bring them on.

The product search for review, since lingerie is now not allowed for free reviews, they should be taken out of the rotation and be kept in the buy out rotation.

There's way to many rabbit vibrators. Seriously who honestly sits through all 177+ of them?

Maybe there could be some type of game in the officer on a specific item, and no one in the office tells what it is, and whoever is lucky enough to do a review on it gets some sort of reward for it.

Not everyone votes for their friends. I read all who are up for nomination and vote accordingly. If everyone voted for their friends then it would be unfair to all the others, treating a contest like a popularity contest in school.

I agree with you on the rabbits, though that has more to do with market saturation in general. What you're seeing is the tail-end of the rabbit vibe explosion created by Sex and the City. Once a lot of those items are sold out, they likely won't be stocked again.

The product search has always been a bit of a bear; if the plan to make all assignments buy-outs with premium discounts based on [unknown of to me at this very moment] criteria goes through, then the product search will become obsolete when trying to find an item to review (when I say obsolete, I mean specifically using the search in the assignment panes, not the general search on site that's visible to everyone).

I, too, like having the points be a surprise. It makes it more fun that way and the energy feels different when it's out of nowhere. When it's expected, it's kind of like I don't know - getting the same five dollar bill from grandma on your birthday, even when you're an adult. (In my humble opinion, it gets old quick.)

Okay, so maybe the anonymous voting not so much But maybe even a little blurb saying "...and well done to the Runner Up" because it can really raise someone's spirits. I don't necessarily agree that everyone votes for their friends, because from my experience I've nominated and voted for strangers.

The Rumble may be prone to being a popularity contest, but I have noticed that community members have nominated contributors with excellent reviews who has just become advanced reviews.
