I'm a patient, I've been avoiding medical treatment for awhile. I'm stubborn.

But, WOOO, partying with EF!

Ok, and so the CEC newsletter idea is born! This would probably be more of a quick note, but you might get it once a week. I am just speculating here.

*tosses some confetti* Wow, that was a pretty quick idea formulated there. But I think it'll help a lot of busy people who forget things. *points at self*

I will.
They just did some bloodwork, and hopefully some good news will come from this.

Well initially the idea was to have the CEC nominate a few good people so it wasn't too many. But this week it was close to being 2-3 people.

Would once a week have enough content? Would twice a month work better just so people maybe don't feel so stressed out by constant changes on EF?

Great! Shoot me an email after the CEC. I am not sure what all would be invovled at the moment.

I definitely will be nominated more in the future. I just forgot this past week... But the person I would have nommed was there already. Though I already have a second idea for my next nom!

And I know we have a lot on the plate but I had questions about the holiday party. I know we need to activate a gift registry but when we send something to someone, do we see their address? And if not, in the package they receive with their gift, will our name and address be on the receipt inside? Cause that rather undoes all of the anonymity.

I think it might be good to have CEC newsletter come out after the meetings to kind of recap a few highlighted "in the works" things or things that are already put in place. It would also invite people "If you would like to be involved in any of these wonderful new ideas on EF, please join us next time blah blah"

I like this idea. That way the people who were unable to attend ( or late ) will be able to get a good summary without having to read the million and one posts on the thread.

I'd really like to participate in the gift giving part of the party, but as the shipping to me is so much I would hate for someone to have to spend $20 on shipping a $10 item.

I was thinking of giving a giftcard to cover the purchase of an item as a gift rather than buying & shipping - but this may just defeat the entire purpose of it

That is exactly what I was thinking. More people will notice things like the noms if they only have to read through a few lines than an entire forum post.

But I totally understand your dilemma about it. I think non-U.S. residents should have a little leeway or another option or something.

Club, Events, and Workshops...

We have been talking about this for a while and some of you are in the process of working towards putting your ideas together, and of course Birthday Club went live this week... so who is next?

I have put together a Project Proposal form for you all to use when pitching your ideas. A big part of bringing these ideas to life requires your time and effort, and that is something that we do want to compensate you for.

Questions?

Are your kids the kind that wake you up at 2am to open gifts? I was! My poor parents probably never slept!
