I guess that begs the question, what exactly is the function of the CEC now? Perhaps if there was a statement describing what we do, people would have a better understanding and possibly participate.

Good question, it was great getting all the clubs and workshops up and running. But now what?

It could probably replace the Naked Reader book club link, which seems a bit out of place now given that it is one of many clubs.

It would be kinda cool if the Club managers could have signatures that pimped their clubs and gave a link to their respective clubs on the blog. I imagine that might be a programming nightmare, though.

That is a great question:

My answer would be - whatever you want it to be (to a certain point).

- I get to bring up ideas and get your feedback. Yes, I can do this on threads too but it works differently with the live back and forth.

- I can introduce new programs, features, and concepts to all you directly which then helps to introduce to the rest of the community.

- We can discuss any ideas or concerns that you have in real time.

- What I value the most from the CEC have always been the momentum of brainstorming. Someone starts and idea, and before you know it, it turns into a bigger thing and then changes happen.

So maybe more of a town hall meeting? Or forum? I'm just thinking that the name should really reflect what it is we do.
