Hell yeah we had rotary phones...that we had to rent from the Bell companies because you - get this - weren't allowed to buy them.

I still have/use one of those. It is in the garage, it rings loud enough to hear when I am grinding or welding. The kids think it is just weird.

omg I'm feeling really old. I had that phone and yes card catalogs were all I knew in libraries. Was lucky enough to have a comodore 64 and atari as a teenager. Remember beta tapes? lol
