It's an idea I suggested to Gary last year. Kind of like the mentor program but not review related. Basically a welcome wagon to great new members to the community and be a resource for them since the site is overwhelming.

That could work. My problem with that is the same one he has with the workshops; neither of us always know what the community wants to talk about, and we don't always have big announcements to make either.

marvelous idea. gets my vote! as someone who was recently a newbie who was sincerely lost, and still gets lost alot, it'd be great to have someone you knew you could go to with any questions.

Initially they started off as a way to have the community help plan the events that were going on, and other things around the community. We planned holiday parties and Eden Gives Back things. Now they're more of a way to talk about anything community related that you may want to bring up.

i think it just changes every month. usually sam comes up with some topics... usually upcoming events, and we discuss and voice our opinions on them. and eat ice cream.

Maybe we could somehow solicit community members to come up with the topics and host the meeting with you then acting as the EF authority and moderator? Just throwing out ideas.

For the ones in-between when you actually have a theme/idea, you could just title it a "community brainstorming meeting" so it sounds more inviting. And less like you need to be part of a committee.

i just got really active really fast. got a desk job where i had the internet and was doing basically nothing at least half the 40 hours a week... so right now, and anytime i'm on eden basically, i'm at work. i came up really fast! only been here since like june.
