Porcelain Clay

Does anyone here work with porcelain clay or have experience with it?

I got some years ago and made some sperm earrings with it (so cute! custom painted them, too) and I have recently dug my clay out to start experimenting again. I recently made a little "name plate" with it for my gf. Though, parts of it didn't stick together (not enough moisture/water) and then another part of it broke.

I didn't have any glue to use for it, so I made a glue out of some of my plaster of paris mix. Think that will hold up? I just tried it this morning and put it on the appropriate places I wanted to stick back together.

I don't know myself, but I'm curious to hear how it all comes out!

Well, so far it has failed. But I think it's because I couldn't leave it alone and touched it before the plaster mixture was actually dry. I'm going to probably try to do it again later. Or if I'm just feeling lazy, I'll pick up some appropriate glue in a few days.

Plaster of paris is sucky which could be the reason why it didnt hold. That stuff crumbles so easily. Id go for an apoxy or resin type thing to hold it together.

Yeah, that's what I've got on my list the next time I can hit up the craft/hobby store. Or even at work.
