What is your prefered medium?

Once upon a time I was pretty biased against digital art... I was almost strictly a pencil / pen artist and scowled at even having to attempt anything else. Although, I look back and think about it as being pissed over expanding from my 'comfort zone' I'd been in for about ten years.

Now I lean most toward digital are or painting (excluding oils - I can with an extreme amount of thought / concentration use them but I prefer the messy-free-flow feel of watercolor). I still sketch sometimes, but for the most part even that has transferred to digital sketching. heh. Less paper to use and don't have to worry about texture of the paper.

So what do you prefer?

I'm a graphic designer and I've always loved digital art because it allowed me to do things I couldn't do well with pencil or in hand.

Mostly I do digital art - do you have a deviantArt? I love seeing people's stuff! PM me.

Although I do love digital and stuff, I'm really into leatherworking, too: wallets, plaques, bags, bracelets and cuffs, stuff like that. (I did make a set of restraints for last Valentine's Day.)

I used to love sculpting clay and stuff. I still dabble I guess. And jewelry making. Dear lord, okay - I do everything. *sigh* Too much of a hobby, haha!

Usually graphite, ink, charcoal, or colored pencil, but I've done some throwing and oil painting in the past, and really liked it.

oh yeah! And I took a glassblowing lesson once, and it was AMAZING. That one, although I'm pretty inexperienced with it, might be my favorite.

I have always wanted to try glassblowing! That is one thing I've never worked with.

You DEFINITELY should, if you can afford it. It's magical. Also, the material is so beautiful that whatever you take home is guaranteed to be fabulous, even if you mess up a few times.
