Well - remember - this was 30 years ago - but they were deleafed and what would happen is they'd come along the ramp and you'd pull out the rocks and stuff as the potatoes went by so that as they made it to the truck it was only potatoes and no rocks, etc. or clumps of dirt.

I love grilled cheese, i make some pretty awesome stuff at work ( im a demo person at a higher end grocery store)

Cheeses are just so expensive so i don't get to make much at home.

yeah - I've also worked where you pick potatoes by hand and fill the barrels.

Hubby (and my family) is from Aroostook County, Maine which USED to be the potato capital of the world - then Idaho took over.

The schools all close down every year during harvest for 3-4 weeks (they start early because of this) and the kids all work the harvest to earn money.
