Favorite big-batch meals?

Contributor: Kkay Kkay
Because of my food intolerance, I find myself making big batches of foods that refrigerate or freeze well. Soup is a big favorite, especially chicken with orzo and split pea and ham, and stew is amazing when it's colder outside.

I also make southern-style butter beans and pulled pork.

Do you make big meals meant to last? If so, what are your favorites?

I like making large meals. I enjoy getting soup mixes and adding extras to them, also like chicken soup and adding orzo!

Lasagna, Chicken Breasts, ground beef, soups, stews and my favorite this time of year is chicken or beef pot pie. The meats can be cut up in several styles and varying quantities. Then I can make Chinese, stir fry, Mexican and casseroles depending leftovers and supplies in stock. All the Best. Enjoy.

We like to make a huge batch of "taco stuffing": Veggie beef, corn, bell peppers, tomatoes, onion, whatever else we throw in.

I try to make the dinner sizes big enough to feed everyone at the table, and leave some left overs for my lunch the next day.

I make meals large enough for 3-4 dinners, just for the sake of convenience. If I had time to cook every night I would! My most common meals to freeze are dumplings (the asian kind), stew, and seasoned shredded chicken (perfect for sandwiches).
