You know what's surprisingly good?

Avocado slices with apple vinegar, onions, and some onion/garlic powder. I had some sliced avocado with dinner last night and I was trying to "mix it up" a bit when I had more with dinner tonight.

What are some of your "you know what's surprisingly good?"s?

Cucumber Bundles!

It's cucumber with a thin egg wrap around it. Sounds, weird, right? I have no idea why it's so good! The contrast of the cool cucumber with the warm egg is just so yummy!

I found this recipe a while ago and I make it constantly because it is strangely delicious! And because I'm insulin resistant and this recipe has no carbohydrates

I also have friends who swear by eating peanut butter and ham sandwiches. And chicken and waffles. And when I was in high school I had a friend who would eat french fries with cream cheese. So many odd combinations!

Those do look tasty and awesome!

I think another one I'd like to add is pickles and ice cream/hot fudge. I think it's the combination of salty and sweet, but I have never been pregnant and I still enjoy this combination from time to time.

Fried tater tots with a drop of A-1 and sour cream on top---tastes like a fully loaded baked potato.

We like mozzarella cheese sticks with cocktail sauce instead of marinara, the horseradish and the cheese go very well together.

Banana baby food drizzled over sliced strawberries or used as a dipping sauce for whole berries is really good, too.

Ranch dressing on store-bought frozen pizzas.

Honey mustard sauce with french fries. French fries and hot fudge sundaes.

Sliced cucumbers on top of a saltine cracker with tuna fish salad (just mayo and pepper and salt) on top of the cucumber. It cleans up the fishiness really nicely. Tomato wedges on the side make it that much better.

Hard, stick pretzels with cream cheese that has a ton of garlic powder added to it.

And of course peanut butter and honey sandwiches!

I also like pickle sandwiches and tomato sandwiches---just slice, add mayo to the bread and throw it together.

Tuna salad on toasted cinnamon-raisin bread. You wouldn't think it works together, but it is delicious.

I'm loving this thread!!

So far, I'm most intrigued with aka Julia's avocado recipe, js250's peanut butter/cranberry sauce sandwich, and Stormy's A-1 - sour cream tater tots! Some of these really makes me wonder how you came to find your little delight. For example, tuna salad on cinnamon-raisin bread??!

Here are a few of unusual combos I like:

French fries with banana ketchup, tarter sauce, or mayonnaise
Blueberry bratwurst
Cottage cheese with pineapple or peaches
Pepperoni-pineapple pizza
Cayenne pepper brownies
Turkey-mango-granny apple burgers
Over-easy egg with grape jelly (it looks nasty as it turns an ugly green, but it's good!)

Bacon dipped in guacamole.

Celery with peanut butter and shriracha hot sauce.

Grilled cheese with apple sauce.

Banana dipped in brown sugar.

Cottage cheese with jam. Any kind of jam.

Ranch dressing inside an omelet.

Pickle pinwheels - spread cream cheese on a slice of ham then wrap around a pickle and slice into bite sized pieces of heaven. Oh so good!

Grilled peanut butter and pancake syrup sandwiches. When my boyfriend first made it for me I didn't think it was going to taste good, but the peanut butter syrup mixture melts and gets so gooey and yummy when it's warm.

Chocolate syrup drizzled over buttered and salted microwave popcorn.

My great grandpa's son would make boxed macaroni and cheese for his kids using chocolate milk instead of white. I still don't think I would ever try it, but then again I do ALWAYS drink chocolate milk with my mac and cheese. Lol.

Fritos and cream cheese.

The only way my little sister will eat white rice is if she puts ranch dressing on it

Oh, when I was little I used to eat cheese and mustard or cheese and mayonnaise sandwiches.

My grandpa used to eat just plain mustard sandwiches.

My mom used to make us fluffernutters - peanut butter and marshmallow fluff sandwiches.

My mom used to put bananas and mini marshmallows in my corn flakes.

Ooh, fruit loops or fruity pebbles on vanilla ice cream

Black olives and cream cheese. I think it's a Philadelphia thing?

I ALWAYS eat bangers and mash with dried cranberries. Not sure why.

I always put green beans in my mac and cheese.
