SO.... LAST month Flicks had just me and Sam in the meeting. It was epic failure. I don't know if it wasn't promoted enough, or if it was because of Sunday Night Football, or what, but crickets took up most of the volume. We wondered about Football and so it's been moved to the first TUESDAY of the month at 8 pm EDT.

So, should we discuss Casablanca again, or move forward with a new movie?

Anything that happens in the evenings on the weekdays I will unfortunately miss. I work a late shift at work and don't get in until 9:30pm anyway and they may move me even later. I only missed the last one because it was my birthday and I didn't have my own internet yet. I give you a hug though and bump the thread!

I think I may have to get an alarm set for these forum meetings...I continually miss them! That being said, I've never been able to sit through 10 minutes of Casablanca...it just doesn't interest me.

I'm off to look for an alarm gadget so I can start remembering all these things I want to attend!

I've never been to one of those movie meetings, but I'm interested.

Do you guys ever discuss new movies that are currently in theaters? If not, would you consider making one of those movies a focal point?

Last weekend I saw Drive starring Ryan Gosling. That would be a cool movie to talk about, especially since there is a lot of hype for the movie.

However, if you guys are currently looking at older films, then that's good, too. With that new French movie, The Artist, coming out soon, maybe a silent movie would be a good idea. I have a feeling that there might be some Chaplin fans on Edenfantasys.

We always try and find things that have been released from the theater and are available for streaming/disc. It just makes it less expensive than trying to get to the theater.

Nora, if you have a google account, or sign up for one, and add the Eden google calenders to your google calender, you can set them to give you a pop-up and/or email alert any amount of time before the meeting that you'd like (multiples even, if you want a reminder the day before, that morning, and five minutes before). It's great.

Okay, I'm going to put up a post by this evening that will have a few selections for the movie choices. It's going to be a 48 hour poll, MAX, and it will ALL be something that is available to stream for free because of the time factor in this meeting being a week from Tuesday. Okay? Okay!
