Hosea Feed the Hungry is an Atlanta-based charity that focuses on feeding the area's homeless on holidays such as Thanksgiving and Christmas. But, they don't stop there. They also organize events and support throughout the year for those in need. Donations have been at record lows and several events have been canceled in the past. With your help, we can help keep Hosea's doors open for those who would otherwise go hungry on Christmas day.
The portion of the proceeds that I receive will go directly to the charity. While it isn't as noble nor as fulfilling as standing on the serving line and seeing their thankful smiles in person, I do believe this is a great project and every little penny helps. Food items are essentially covered by the many, many fundraising events for canned food drives, but the real need is help in covering administrative costs. It takes a great deal to put these events together and I know the money would be far more appreciated than that twelve year old can of pumpkin filling that's been hiding in the back of the closet.
