Already donated to the worthy cause.

I love it, like I said before, my work had a store hit pretty hard. Anything to help out those needy folks gets my vote.

I think that would be great. It sounds like they could use all the help they can get.

Would you care to explain things a little more for us while we're waiting for the blog post to go live?

I'm kind of wondering, what if other things besides donating clothes was brought up? Serving at soup kitchens, etc.

Sure. I already donated too, but I wanted to help the community donate too. When I was watching the news when it all happened I wanted to help, but I didn't know how. I couldn't actually go to Joplin. Others might have felt that way too. So I compiled a list of ways for people to help out the tornado victims. Eden is also going to be doing a points drive to raise money for the Red Cross.

Something similar to that, we did talk about having a month specifically to donate time. There really isn't much that won't work as a drive I think.

Oh, good. I don't have much in the way of money or items to donate, but points I can definitely do.

This really is super awesome of you to do!

Donations of gift cards or points can be emailed to Gary (Gary @edenfantasys.com). Headline of "Joplin Donations" and in the body of the email make sure that you have the code for the card you're mailing in, the amount it's for, and whether it was points or a gift card that was purchased/awarded.

Hello and thanks.

Is there also an easily accessible fundraising option for those who can donate via paypal/credit card?

I'm not a pro, but when I help out those in need, I usually make a multi-month long thing of it. I tell everyone what I'm doing and over time people donate money and items (blankets, toothbrushes, clothes, toys) to the cause. I save these things up (and buy more items with the fundraising money) and on a set date go out with friends/loved ones to give them out.

It works really well. On average I'd say each event has had thousands of dollars worth of brand new stuff given out, not to mention the used stuff.

Yes. The list will be in the blog post. In the forums we'll post about the points drive and link the blog for more ways to help.

In general, there isn't. I hate that there isn't and we're pushing for having a Paypal account set up specifically for this. The way you do it is certainly pretty awesome, and we'd love to hear about it if you'd like to write about it.

It's also useful to keep a number up. A list of how many have donated so far, how much money has been donated so far, and how many items. That really seems to make people want to contribute.

And... I don't know what else to say on the subject. Haha. Sorry about the dump of info, I wanted to get all that out before I had to go.
