One Year Anniversary of Joplin, MO Disaster

Contributor: Ansley Ansley
Hey there! Just wanted to let you guys know that we're coming up on the one year anniversary of the Joplin, MO tornado disaster. Those who are familiar with Eden know that we had a fundraiser last year to donate monies to the Red Cross to help them clean up and repair their town.

They still need help. If you would just take a moment to read over this article to see how you can help, that would be awesome. Have a great weekend everyone!

Thanks for the reminder!!!!! I will be donating today. After personally living through a natural disaster (hurricane Katrina), I can tell you that the effects of those kind of events linger for a VERY long time, and it helps those affected just to know that a year later they have not been forgotten!!!!

Good Lord has it been a year already? Sigel was there during that tornado though he was in an area that was only mildly affected. Parts of the city still look like it was just yesterday. Thanks for remembering guys!

Honestly I'm not familiar with this event, but I will pray for everyone in Joplin, MO. It is truly sad what mother nature can do sometime, she can be so beautiful but yet so deadly. I'm sorry for all that they have lost. How do you go about giving donations.

We're glad you made it out of Katrina and onto Eden! Every little bit helps.

Yeah, that's what I said - I was like wow that totally flew by with no warning. I'm glad Sigel wasn't in the midst of the devastation, still you gotta wonder what kind of message the universe was sending. (Maybe that's just me.)

Just click the link in my original post to make donations and thank you for supporting the efforts to help clean up.

The devastation was enormous and some neighborhoods were completely wiped out. Like not a single stick of wood left standing. It was terrible!
