First, we'll focus on how to do some basic tricks with the text you write in HTML. These are the same tricks you can do on the EdenFantasys forum as well: bold, italic, and underline.

Bold is supposed to show importance to whatever text you'd like to use. Using bold makes your text stand out more.




Italic is what makes the text tilt sideways. I use it to show tone mostly.




Underline is used to show importance. It also can be used for headers of sections to show an order.




To see other neat ways to edit your text, W3Schools has a good article about it.

What do you normally use bold, italics, and underline for?

Where can you find nice layouts for your blog at. I used one that they had to choose from but would like to pretty it up a little bit.

I'm old school, I have paper and wall calendars. a huge velcro one for my son and a cheap paper one for my husbands work schedule and drs appts, then my personal notebook calendar for workshops, deadlines etc.

I usually use italics when I want to emphasize a word like I would when I was speaking. In fact, I often use it for the moments when I would be rolling my eyes if actually talking to you, XD

I've had blogs in one form or another since writers mainly blogged on myspace back in like the late 90s/early 00s, lol. my myspace blog has over 50k views. however, it's a whole new world out there now compared to then. everyone has a blog & its much harder to generate traffic, imho. it's not enough to be really good at whatever you're doing, you have to be an excellent self-promoter as well, & really skilled at using the tools at your disposal (and have knowledge of them) to get hits. I'm having issues drawing in readers, though the 2 blogs i'm maintaining at the moment are both fairly new (1 is about 4-6 months old, the other i started sunday, lol). If we have time after we go over coding or if there's anyone who I can msg privately, I'd really love some tips on building traffic.

It depends. You can find some pretty decent ones by searching "free blogspot/wordpress layouts", but it's mostly a matter of looking around. The really nice ones cost money. (I purchased Kinky World's with cash.)

I have a feeling if I did that I would have a lot of italicized words.

Yeah, building traffic can be a bitch. I was going a good job of it but then I moved to my own domain, so it's been like starting from square one.

being on twitter has helped increase my traffic, its helped me find blog hops and giveaway link ups. There are some blog directory sites out there, bloggymoms is one of them I use.

Yeah. Moving to a new domain definitely can suck. I moved mine to a domain only after having it for 2 weeks, so I didn't have too much of an issue, but it can be hard.

Being on social networking sites help a lot. Twitter helps me, and Facebook can be okay too. I find Twitter better for getting readers though. There are a ton of mommy-blogger type directories and link directories too.
