And what a product to do her 100th on -- The Mighty Eroscillator!XxFallenAngelxX has been with us for just over a year (15 months) so that's a pretty big accomplishment. I love that she set herself an excellent pace; not too fast, not too slow, plenty of time to learn and do things really, really well! In fact, she does such a nice job she's also a mentor -- and I know people wait impatiently for her lingerie reviews, complete with pictures and video! Lingerie isn't all she does, though. How would you say your reviews are different today than when you first started with the site?
I started back in January of 2011, and I wrote some pretty bad reviews. I only wrote about my personal experiences back then, and that wasn’t the best thing to do. I now write my reviews so I can get some of the best possible information out to everyone who reads them. My mentor was the person who started the process of me writing better reviews, and I really appreciate her help. I continue to strive to get out as much information as possible! I’m working all the time to keep improving on my my reviews.
What was your favorite review to write; why?
It’s hard to pick just one, because I have a few that I really like… but I will. My favorite review was on the Icicles No.21. I was tired of the cold weather, and I was hoping that Spring would arrive soon. The Icicles No. 21 was the perfect thing to motivate me. The look of the toy screamed Spring, with the flower and pretty colors. I had fun with that review. The review was also featured on the Pipedream blog and Facebook page. I was very proud of that.
What was your least favorite review to write; why?
My least favorite review to write was on the Geisha Plug Diamond. I’m not very familiar with anal toys, so I felt like I left so much out of the review, from my inexperience. I kept going over it trying to see what I had forgotten. I still think about it at times.
Is there a reviewing style (or reviewer in particular) you admire; why?
There are so many wonderful reviewers that give their all, and put in a lot of time and effort. I can’t narrow it down to just one stlye or person, because many of them work so hard! I like reading the reviews where I know that the reviewer took pride in their work. I admire that the most.
Did you have mentor, who was it? Additionally, are you currently a mentor; what do you love about it?
I had two mentors. Jessica Elizabeth was my first mentor, and then Kate was my second. They both helped me in ways that continue to stay with me while helping my own students, since I’m a mentor now. I appreciate the chance to teach others about being informative in reviews. I’m so thankful for the review program. It has saved me so many times from buying things that weren’t compatible with my body. The review program here on EdenFantasys is genius.
Is there a particular brand you favor more than others; why?
I really like Jopen, Lelo, and Vixskin products the best. I love to indulge in the higher quality toys when I can afford them. I like companies that go above and beyond with their products. I also like that they keep the customer in mind. In the lingerie line, I adore Coquette and Dreamgirl.
If you could go back and rewrite a review, which one would it be?
I would rewrite my first 10 reviews. I never fully understood how many people would be reading them and relying on them, when I first joined. About a year later when I became very active on the site, it became apparent that I could, and would, write informative reviews that reached out to a large group of customers.
How long have you been writing reviews for Eden and how did you become interested in reviewing?
A friend sent me a link to Eden in January of 2011. I signed up and started on my first review. I truly wish that I would have taken more time on my reviews back then. I’ve come a long way since that month, and I’m excited to end up where I am today. I’m at my 100 review! I never thought I would make it! This is an exceptional milestone!
Is there a toy you've been itching to review; what is it?
I’ve really wanted to try the Smart Wand by LELO. It’s a waterproof and cordless massager that caught my eye long ago. I’ve read many reviews and I’ve really wanted to try it out.
What do you think your greatest Eden-related accomplishment (outside of hitting the milestone itself) is?
My greatest accomplishment would be all of the students that have graduated from my mentor program, so far. I felt like I have helped them to become informative enough, so that some day they can be mentors themselves, and continue on to have a site full of reviewers that can write their own style, and provide useful information to customers and the community. Another great accomplishment is the friendships that I’ve made here at Eden. I’ve made some meaningful relationships that have expanded out into my life beyond Eden. I’m extremely thankful for that. These friendships mean a lot to me. I’m also thankful for the helpful administrators who are working overtime for us, behind the scenes.
