I am reading a book called Pleasing Sir - submissive/slave is a secretary, her dom/master is her boss. So, kinda shows it would ... more
It does depend. It depends on life issues and what each person desires in life and a relationship as well. Not everyone wants or desires the same end goals as everyone else.

Truth, a friend of mine inspired a story by walking into Starbucks, sitting down, and saying, "Damn it, I'm tired of being responsible for my orgasms."

Granted, she was half joking and saying it as much for shock value ... more
This is why the idea of forced orgasms is so enticing to me. I am way to much in my head and many times just stop myself before I get there.

That's the whole point. You have to learn to totally submit before you can be the dominant.

I liked Carrie's Story more than Safe Word if I remember correctly. That was over a year ago though, but I do remember liking Carrie's Story more.

My favorite part of the interview with Molly was, "I didn’t think of myself as a fiction writer, but in the context of an erotic coming-of-age story I found I could think about stuff that had fascinated me since adolescence and embody it in characters who talked in recognizable voices. The first time I found myself writing dialog, writing COMMA CLOSE QUOTE HE SAID PERIOD (I had to go to my bookshelf to check the punctuation) I was hooked."

The moment I read that I could totally relate, and I laughed, because that is exactly what I was doing last week. It also gave me one of those hmmmm moments, because I'm always second guessing myself. But if a writer of her caliper started the same way, maybe there's hope.

I really loved the part of Carrie's Story where she had a private dinner with the woman who ran the auction house. And after reading about Molly, I couldn't help but feeling that may have been her way to right her personality into the story. Since she had worked with computers for a period before writing.
