Not that I noticed. But if it had, I probably would have skipped to the end.

I especially enjoyed the story about the guy who leaves his sub to be with someone else. His drama leaves me wondering...

Now that you mention it, I have to agree with the orientation of the book. I remember a story written at the second person for a hypothetical male reader as well. It's Yes by Donna Goerge Storey. It was a hot story too. I like that type of narrating.

Yes.

I liked that one too.

I loved the fact that the stories were not all told from the subs point of view as well.

Would you recommend this book to someone who's (mostly) vanilla or is it definitely too hardcore?

It's true that the stories seem to be on the same level and quality, without having particular build up.

I'd go with more vanilla than hardcore, at least someone who has tried control and domination and is insecure about introducing pain.

Interesting... I usually think of the two as exclusive, but on reflection people will accept things in fiction that they would never tolerate IRL.

There are definitely some more vanillaish stories in it, but some are harder. It is a good introduction.

Oh definitely, it was a huge turn on for me to read about the struggling males who wanted to ravage their sub, but cared more about giving pleasure than their own satisfaction.

I agree, fiction is fiction. Fantasy is in the mind only

Just from hearing people talk about it so far it sounds like it would be fine for a vanilla audience.

Absolutely, I found myself sometimes relating to the male and sometimes the female depending on the story.

I would agree that people tend to accept things that happen in fiction much more easily than in real life.

I think the terms "vanilla" and "hardcore" are too open to interpretation. To me, "vanilla" eliminates any kind of adventure in the bedroom. You have 1 or 2 positions, rarely will incorporate any kind of toys or aids, and the idea of even a blindfold is scandalous.

"Hardcore" to me is breaking skin, severe bruising, bound and gagged getting fucked by a machine... etc...

I think most people fall somewhere in the middle.

I thought we were talking more about sub/dom vanilla, not necessarily sex vanilla
