Yeah, it's doing REALLY REALLY well. I'm like a proud mother, though usually she's the one mothering me! LOL.
Would you be willing to share the title with us, so that we could add to her sales?

4. What--or who--is your favorite part/character in your P&P adaptation? Which was the most fun to write?

Mitzi: They were all great fun ... more
This makes me wonder even more, if it would be better to read the original first or not.

I love historical fiction too. Though I'm more of a Gone with the Wind type fan where that is concerned. Could you imagine undertaking that one as a porn parody?
Ooh, yes!

I found it easy to believe their actions. Maybe it's just the perv in me but ehh...works for me. I will seriously never look at it the same, in a good way

Thanks, Kat! I've found some very good writers, though, who were sure they were no good at first.

I have a random but semi-related question: does anyone know anything about the history of written erotica? specifically from the industrial revolution forward? I'm planning on writing a book about the depictions of women throughout the modern history of written erotica and am striking out at research so far. If anyone could point me in the direction of some resources or a good starting point, esp anything online for right now as I cant really go to the library for the next week or 2, that'd be amazing.

I think what I'm most interested in about this book is seeing the match-ups of character to kink. For me, that's the most satisfying part of parodies, seeing how the original character wasn't just changed, but developed along the same kind of path they were already traveling. And of course it's triple interesting when that development is sexual

I guess it would depend on how much you like period books. For someone who wasn't really into them but likes erotica, I would guess this one. For me, who likes both, I'm glad I read the original first so that I had an idea about the characters first. it could go either way.

Well, erotica anthologies are already a niche market unto themselves, so it's a bit different. Novels sell much better, and I can understand why.

Oh yes, I could definitely see how she based their sexual proclivities on their original characters' personalities.

Record Collecting for Girls: Unleashing Your Inner Music Nerd One Album At A Time. It's not exactly what the title implies though. I think any music fan should love it. And it hilarious and has great anecdotes and lots of music history and so on and so forth. It's really really a gem. She's actually one of the two friends I just got back from visiting.

I'd love to help, but as I mentioned earlier, I'm still pretty new to erotica. Though if I come across anything, I'll be sure to send it to you.

Me too! Isn't it free? And for those of you who aren't Kindle owners, there are Kindle apps for the comp in general, for chrome, for android and iphones, and I think that's it but if you have a computer, you can get a free digital copy, if i recall correctly.

Oh, wow, there are some amazing ones. I'd nearly forgotten all about those. It's more about the music though than records themselves, though she does talk about that as well and the death of the true record collector (I'll let you all speculate as to why or find out via the book).

Good observation, txymxy (glad I don't have to pronounce that!) Now that I come to think of it, my favorite thing about the book was the way the kinks seemed so, well, natural for the characters as Austen had written them.
