Ha! After filming the Intensity one I had to run my feet under hot water for like 15 minutes, my family kept yelling at me because I was "shaking at the dinnertable! Why did you go on that walk anyway?!"

I loved Red and was it hotel? I don't remember if that was the title but I loved that one. But the BDSM that I quoted in my book where she's not sure about telling him cause so many guys have only half-done it before....the lead in to that was so good.

Here are descriptions of a couple more stories from the book. "Red<" especially, is an example of drawing inspiration from the classics.

"“Red,” by Piper Morgan, begins with a confessed fantasy that seems mundane but grows into deftly revealed outrageousness and gripping erotic tension as the desire to experience a real-life erotic fairy tale morphs like a wolf under a full moon into a deliciously depraved sex game in the woods. Often thecouple’s shared fantasy is to fuck a stranger: “The Hotel,” by Anika Ray, is an ultrarealistic playing out of that scenario between an aggressively nervous couple—with a surprising and very hot ending, proving that sometimes it’s better when things don’t go as planned."

I SOOO got this point:

"...She hated this part, when she wanted to back out, but the conversations, the revelations about personal fantasy, the dares and the insinuations had finally gone too far. It was amazing how you could love someone, and know they loved you, and still be worried about revealing something to them. She knew she was committed."

Pirates-- you just hit the one that has driven me nuts all year. There's a real pirate ship docked in the Gulf not far from here. People pay to go on it for lunch cruises and kid's parties and such. We saw it from the docks (it's gorgeous, I might add) and ever since then all I keep thinking about is how I'd like to get Alan alone on it in his pirate garb and do some serious role playing.

Seems to me I've seen a whole lot of book covers promising those adventures.

Hmm. Vikings and Pirates and Indians, Oh My! Might be a good anthology. Except that the stereotyping of Indians might be questionable.

I think my fascination with some of that started when I was reading novels with those storylines when I was about 13 or so.

I agree. I remember the movie Into the West and there was a part where one of the women was kidnapped and she fell in love after a time. Love it !

I'm not sure he'd be open to sneaking on it in the middle of the night and taking it for a little cruise though. (lol)

Speaking of "A, B, and C, Oh My!", has anybody ever read Alan Moore's "Lost Girls"? Heck of a lot of fantasy fodder in there.

I think a lot of my fantasies involve the "shelter from the storm" sort of literary device---you're randomly set with an unpredictable set of people and you're all together for a while... whether on a long bus ride to a sporting event, or a ship like I described earlier, or in Lost Girls where they're taking shelter in a hotel in Austria just as the Archduke is shot, precipitating WWI. ...
