Sometimes Porn is good and sometimes it's bad. For me it's affected me in both ways. My ex husband used to be addicted to it. He would download pictures, and watch videos all night. He wouldn't sleep with me, he would sleep all day. He started paying more attention to the porn than me. So, I left him and divorced him. With my current fiance, we've been super open about porn and toys. We've discussed it in length and share the time together. We watch porn alone or together and know that it's not more important than the other person. I say it's either good or bad depending on how you have it put into the relationship.

luckily porn has never directly caused a problem in a relationship, but indirectly, certainly.

current beau is one of those young guys in the class of 'has watched too much straight porn.' he's gotten the idea that sex should be wham bam thanky ma'am and there's little to zero romance in it. i had to teach him alot, and get him to slow down, connect with me, WAIT to come. for goodness sakes.

its still an ongoing battle and somedays i'm too lazy to get into it. i'm sure he'd be a better lover had he never watched porn growing up.

It has really enhanced our relationship and brought an element of trust and naked truth into it. No pun intended! You can not hide anything in porn and your feelings for what you watch with a partner. We both are completely open about new genres to check out and what we do/not like. It has become almost more fun to pick out something they will get off on vs. my preference.

My ex denied, denied, denied looking at porn, even after I confronted him for looking at it on my computer (he was looking at unsafe sites and adult dating sites) and he still lied. I found out he was looking at real underage sites. That was a huge problem. Mainly the lying and the underage stuff.

My Mom was so "innocent" that one day a few years ago we were visiting her and she was reading something in the Chicago Tribune. I agree. It has never been an issue for me, people watch porn, they enjoy it, whatever. Unfortunately I have to admit that I once requested that a partner get rid of a substantial portion of their pornography because it was becoming somewhat obsessive and I began to feel like I was competing with the "playboy" ideal image.

Not really, we have had discussions about the why, but the wife accepts it now, although she does not watch any with me. She just does not see the point.

I must say though, if we watch a movie with a really hot love scene, she is raring to go after.

I've only had one serious (sexual) partner and we are in a long distance relationship. I watch more porn than he does and he tends to be a little more vanilla than I am. Thankfully, he's really wonderful and open minded. It may be due to where he grew up. He's the one who has really opened my eyes to new ideas and have taught me the importance of tolerance.
