I'm 99% sure the system doesn't differentiate where it comes from, just that it was used.

That's generically speaking. You can absolutely do both. The only difference is internal.

The only limitation/requirement on affiliates is that you have to be over 21.

Yes - sorta.

With new reviewers (under 3-4 reviews) I send them a note that I personalize for them sharing about the two ways to become an advanced reviewer and the benefits of mentoring and how a mentor might have helped them write a better review.

Is it ok that I do this?

I also send them a link to information about the mentor program and a link to information about the review program and descriptions, etc.

I don't think there's anything wrong with that.

Are you making sure to verify that off-site reviews link to real reviews? 300 words+ and 2 meaningful links back to Eden?

I haven't had any off-site reviews yet. But yes, I was going to do that.

I also caught someone last week who'd plagarized 11 of their 12 reviews (not giving out names) - so I was sorta proud of myself.

Seriously!?! 11 OF 12!!! Wow the gull of some people. And here the rest of us are bashing our heads against the wall at times to think of what to write.

I didn't think we were verifying the 300+ words or links anymore? There was a post by Carrie Ann way back saying not to because there were too many individual agreements with bloggers.

If you ever catch anything suspicious like that, PLEASE let Sammi or me know. We don't take kindly to review poachers in these parts.

If you can find where someone copied reviews from and include the link, you get bonus jar points. If you get 100 jar points and a buck fifty, you can get a cup of coffee. (joke. jar points aren't real).

They were pulling from the descriptive reviews plus summaries of other reviews plus some of the meat of other reviews.

The first one I found was for a famous dildo and I asked Sammi if I won that dildo for finding it...

She said I won her thanks!

I guess I assumed that they was it was set up there were plans for tasks other than proofreading. Maybe that was a false impression on my part.

It's all on the needs of the company. Every staffer who's gotten hired has been a unique situation where we had a spot that needed filled.

It really is the definition of a case-by-case scenario.
