The coffee that you add is fresh coffee not used coffee grounds? I read that rubbing used cool coffee grounds is good for cellulite/
I use fresh coffee, but a lot of it is diffused throughout the mixture because of the oils, so it would work similarly.

Cool, my wife would probable know what to do. Is it better to use your hand or a wash cloth/sponge?

There are so many carcinogens in most moisturizers, it is sickening, not to mention ingredients which can actually dry out your skins natural moisture so that you require more and more.

I usually use my hands. I don't think a sponge or cloth would work as well.

OK, maybe a silly question. Would this work good for black heads/acne? I am guessing the "scrub" part would be good for this kind of thing.

I know. Even the ones that say they are made with natural ingredients feel and smell like they are full of chemicals.

I'd like to second this question. My husband is a mechanic and has some problems with this too.

Ok so quickly, I will inject the ingredients for all natural edible massage oil.

1. Carrier oil ( refined olive oil, almond oil is very popular, avacado oil, - there will be a longer list shortyl)

2. Flavor oil

Combine

Pour into some sort of squeezy bottle

Tada!

Oh damn, I totally misread that question. Yes, definitely the hands... a cloth would absorb a ton of the oils on you.

Yes, but if they are on your face, I would recommend using a brown sugar mixture, or a salt scrub (which I do not know how to make yet) Definitely some oils with astringent properties so that you do not exacerbate the problem.

It has taken me two years to get past all that. I guess it was due to soooo many years around grease and dirt.

For blackheads yes because you will be removing the dead layer from the pore that has the black hear and in general removing the dead layer is good cause it allows the skin to breath and reveals a healthier looking skin.

Now if you have white heads its not recommended to us a scrub cause by removing that layer you open up that pore and with the scrubbing be spreading the puss to the other pores.

But it also depends on the scrub like Girl With Fire said the salt ones are rougher on the skin.

Ok so, how about some useful info to help you decide which ingredients you REALLY want in your stuff?

Oooh so much easier than making a bowl of cereal. I like this I need to find out if there is a store near me so I could buy the oils.

White heads can become worse actually, because the sugar can open it up and some may get in and not wash away... The last thing you want in a whitehead is oil and sugar.

He's been tinkering with cars since he was about 4, and has had the blackhead/acne problem the whole 10 years I've known him. It must just be something about you greasemonkeys, cuz I didn't have any real problems with acne or anything until he and I started sharing a bed, now my chin breaks out occasionally where it rests against his back while spooning him, lol

Commonly Used Butters

Mango Butter

- Effectively treats dry skin
- Heals skin rash
- Heals skin peeling, after tanning
- Clears blemishes and wrinkles
- Relieves itching skin
- Heals sunburn
- Shaving cream for a smooth shave
- Treats small skin wounds and skin cracks
- Moisturizes and smoothes tough or rough skin
- Fights frost bite
- Prevents stretch marks during pregnancy
- Relieves insect bites
- Promotes healthy rejuvenated skin
- Heals muscle fatigue, aches and tension
- Relieves skin allergies such as poison ivy or poison oak
- Treats eczema and dermatitis
- Fights off fine lines and wrinkle

Cocoa Butter

- Naturally rich in Vitamin E as well as a number of other vitamins and minerals. Vitamin E helps to soothe, hydrate, and balance the skin and also provides the skin collagen which assists with wrinkles and other signs of ageing.
- Contains cocoa mass polyphenol (CMP), a substance that inhibits the production of the immuno globulin IgE. IgE is known to aggravate symptoms of both dermatitis and asthma.
- Can prevent and treat stretch marks
- Lotions and oils containing Cocoa Butter are often used in aromatherapy massage to promote relaxation and the feeling of well-being.
- Research indicates that massaging the skin with Cocoa Butter may help relieve stress, boost the immune system, and even prevent cancer. This is because Cocoa Butter, like chocolate, contains a lot of CMP
- There is some evidence that the CMP in Cocoa Butter may also help prevent heart disease and ease arthritic symptoms.

Shea Butter Can be used to treat

- Dry skin
- Stretch marks
- Itchy skin, skin rashes, Eczema, and Dermatitis
- Sunburn
- Small skin wounds
- Damaged skin
- Rough skin (such as on feet)
- Insect bites
- Muscle aches, fatigue, and tension
- Wrinkles and signs of ageing
- Chapped skin from cold weather
- Dry or over processed hair
- Diaper rash
- Skin allergies
- Frost bite

In addition, Shea Butter offers a low level of UV protection (approximately SPF-6), and may be incorporated into natural sunscreen recipes. Because of its soothing nature, anti-inflammatory and rejuvenating effects, it is a perfect ingredient to incorporate into your bodycare recipes and skin care regime. It is also wonderful to use in the summer as a moisturizer before and after sun exposure to reduce possibility of the skin peeling or becoming dried out.

Many companies use bleaches, deodorizers, or chemicals to alter the scent and appearance of Shea Butter. It is important to not purchase Shea Butter that has been altered in this way, as these processing methods deplete the product of its healing and medicinal properties, and also destroy the vitamins and minerals naturally present in Shea Butter. Shea Butter naturally has a cream color, and a distinctive scent which may not appeal to some. However, after applying Shea Butter to the skin, the scent lessens in strength.

Yeah that is what I said its not recommended for white heads but for a different reason it does make sense not wanting oil 7 sugar in a pore that had a white head in it.

I found out the hard way.

I actually would suggest either adding only oils and butters with astringent properties, or washing your face with a really mild soap a few minutes afterwards, this will allow some of the oil to moisturize your skin, but will eliminate the risk of clogging pores or dirt being attracted and making it's way in before all the oil has completely absorbed into your skin.
