I just got assigned to write a book review. Is the format any different for books than for other products?

Yeah, the format is different. I'd still suggest the extended template because it offers prompts.

I really like having the prompts for the book reviews. Gave me a great idea of how to set things up for my first one.

An Ambassador writes a testimonial on their blog in exchange for a product. For some reason a lot of profiles say Ambassador when the reviewer in question isn't actually one.

Ambassadors started off as a different program for people to submit reviews, called testimonials, from their blogs, but work outside the normal review program.

Everyone starts off with the ability to be an ambassador, it's up to them if they'd like to pursue that option. You can't review and write testimonials at the same time.

The prompts are different for these reviews. Instead of materials, you'll have actors/actresses.

Ah, ok well I have my blog started but with school out I haven't finished setting it up the way I want to. Kids are way too time consuming lol!

They would cover the content of the book or DVD rather than physical aspects of a toy or other product. With movies you can do a scene by scene and with books you can break down all of the stories or chapters. Because books usually have more chapters than movies have scenes, it's not usually as good of an idea to do all of them and focusing on the overall picture of the book while pointing out key things usually works better.

thanks what should we do if the book or dvd doesn't have the extended format as a choice?

Ambassadors are also different from the two different blogger programs too.

A testimonial is a short 200-300 word review.

Just do your best and cover your bases for what you think would be a good review.

What are the two blogger programs?

I started an Eden inspired sex blog, but I haven't really done that much with it yet.

There are "Mommy Bloggers" and "Sex Bloggers".

You can find out how to register for them here.

If you consider your blog a "mommy" blog, you'd contact Maria. If you are a sex blogger, you contact Kayla. Their emails are their first name @edenfantasys.com

I think the other blogger program is just writing posts for the Eden blog, not your own

Great, thanks! I don't think my blog has been up for three months yet, but I'll check the programs out when it has.

As long as you don't try to get a monthly review product and a blog product to review at the same time, you're fine

Any suggestions for improving my blog?

I've been blogging about other things for years, but I'm still pretty new to the sex toy scene.

I'll come back later and look at it.

Have you thought about doing a short mentor program with someone who does a lot of off-site reviews?

does it have to be a product review on the blog, or can you just talk about current specials/contests and like the sensual products area?
