Hi! Thanks for being here and answering our questions. I wanted to ask about the Jopen line, which I have been lusting after. There are so many great-looking toys options - if you had to pick one or two favorites, what would they be?

Do jelly toys contain "phalates?" or whatever they are called... whatever they are. I need to read more about that.

Yes, but they all came back around! Waterproof, rechargeable, remote control, solar, computer powered...all failed the first time around, then as consumers became more sophisticated, these ideas came back into the limelight!
That must be a great feeling.
Thanks for the info.

Do you feel the the "Great Recession" has effected the sex toy biz. Did you do any thing differently in response?

Ooh, I've been wondering about this myself.

It's hard to believe waterproof toys didn't catch on at first...even if you're not using them underwater, they're much easier to clean! I'm glad you stuck with the idea, because we all sure appreciate it now.

Susan here...I travel the world every year looking for great new designs not just for toys, but for our lingerie. Keep in mind, we sell only packaged lingerie.....for a night or two of fun. We continue to fight price points, and still get the best quality we can for the price.

Our biggest accomplishment has been completely changing the market from being male dominated to being female friendly. As I mentioned earlier we were the 1st women owned company. We were also the 1st to come out with pink & purple items. It so awesome to see where sex toys were 10 years ago and to now see where they are today. & to know we had a huge part in that

My boyfriend and I were discussing toy ideas last night and were wondering about mens toys. In particular we wondered if there is any research going on for a sleeve like devise for men similar to a condom that has a ripple affect that can be used handfree?

Yeah, I've been curious too. Do sex toys follow the same progression, or are they counter-cyclical? I know sometimes some small pleasures see upswings in recessions when people need to take their minds off their regular lives, like cinema in the 1930's.

Giggling, I remember my first vibrator...thinking back on it, they were very primitive to what is available now.

I agree! Waterproof makes everything so much easier to clean - even if I rarely take them into the shower/bath. We carry a ton of the waterproof CalExotics toys too which is really neat to look through.

Actually, knowing that the sets I have were only designed for a few uses helps me out a lot. The one set that I've gotten a chance to use and review will definitely hold up to more than a few uses, although I'm not sure about the other one. However, knowing that it's only meant for a few uses, I'm ok with that now. Thank you so much for getting back to me

I've seen some of the sex toys from 10/15 years ago. It's amazing how far sex toys have come!

The first to come out with pink and purple? Those are my favorite colors and I love all my toys to be pink or purple. Awesome!

We have been using RoHs motors in our toys for years....that is definately not a place to skimp. This is a European standard that specifies very strict compliance to a set of rules the US has not adopted. The result is longger life, stronger motors.

It always seems that the female toy market has had a strong following while the guy toys were not as popular. I know around here we get more and more guy reviewing toys, I am just wondering if you see any change.

I actually remember seeing the RoHs motor symbol on the packaging of some of your vibes, so that's neat to know! I love power too, so I'm glad you do. Thanks Al!

The older vibes were made with PVC which did contain phthalates but all of our new toys are made with safe & pure material. Also know that we are using safer materials as the become available and also to meet customer demands

Kind of the opposite of a previously asked question. Has there been any toy/concept/product that really surprised you in how well it took off.

I see that you have a couple of double penetration vibrators (like this) here on Eden. I'm really interested in these, but I'm one of those women with pretty sensitive skin, so I prefer using silicone toys instead of jelly and rubber. Do you have plans to introduce one of these in silicone?

Do you have any comments on trends in materials?
