Key battery issues!

Contributor: PropertyOfPotter PropertyOfPotter
The batteries fit so snugly inside of the compartment because of the plastic that surround them, that I now cannot REMOVE the batteries from the toys. I've tried everything I can think of! Someone, please help me!!

When I get stuck batteries I usually try to bang the very side of it against something to loosen them. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I haven't had to remove the batteries in my Key stuff yet, but I did notice they fit very snug.

I had this issue with my Io! I held it and swung my arm down a few times and it flew onto the floor, but it sounds like the banging against the side of something method might be less likely to break a window.

Do a downward throwing motion toward a couch or bed while holding the toy firmly. They will come out. Had the same issue with my ceres.

Tried that for about twenty minutes! I'm afraid to bang them against something because I don't want to hurt them! I'm so frustrated!!!

Okay, after another 20 minutes, I got the batteries out of ONE of the toys. I took the plastic piece, roughly measured it against a piece of paper, cut the paper and stuck it inside the toy. The batteries slide out MUCH easier, and the noise level isn't effected! Just a tip! I'm going to wait for my husband to come home and try to muscles the batteries out of the other one, I think I've already pulled a couple just trying! *phew*

Glad to know I am not the only one having problems, I almost threw mine earlier today out of frustration.

I got your comment on my wall mine came out just fine, they didn't slide out easily I had to "throw in downward motion" to get them to come out. Glad you were able to get one set out of the toy, hopefully hubby can get the other ones out.

Al Bloom at JOPEN here. Can any of you folks identify which model in KEY is having a battery issue? That would be a great help so we can pinpoint any issues specifically. Thank you all very much.

Key Ceres Lace and Key Ceres G-Spot. I still haven't been able to remove the batteries from the g-spot toy. Thank you!

Thanks. We had an issue with CERES and the mill gauge of the sleeve inside the battery compartment. The issue was the batteries were not as secure as we specified, and rather than have a rattling battery, we opted to release the item being snug with a new sleeve milled locally, as opposed to having loose batteries rattling around...now, here's the dilemma for a manufacturer regarding batteries. We use only Duracell, and they are ever so slightly bigger than other brands. We QC using a variety of brands...some were tighter than others, but all did come out with a slight snap of the wrist while firmly holding the vibe with the battery cap off. This issue has been fully addressed, and the next manufactured lot we receive will be absolutely without issue. The good news is that you folks are replacing batteries...does that mean the first set wore out using this exciting new brand ? We hope that's the case, but if not, rest assured that we will not have an issue in the future. We shipped a record number of new KEY items as it was the most highly anticipated new product release ever! The quality of the product, at the price, is a shot in the arm for users not able to afford the highest end luxury products...KEY delivers, and we hope that this issue does not deter anyone from enjoying the product(s). We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this has caused, and we want everyone to know we stand behind all of our products at link

So what does that mean for the ones that are already sent out and are so tight?

Yes, is there a way to acquire a newer, more user friendly one by sending in the old one?

I have the Key Charms Plush and I spent about 20-30 mins. trying to get the battery out. I had to use tweezers to pry it out then I had to do the whole throwing motion until the battery went flying out. I was wondering if anyone else had this same issue, and it looks like some of you are.

I have the Charms Silk, and had a similar issue today while checking out the toy....it took a lot of arm swinging....way too much aggravation...

Yikes@ I just received the Ceres Lace Massager. Had major battery issues. Toy wouldn't turn on. Thought it was batteries. Tried another new set. Finally got them out, put new ones in, and toy doesn't work.
