Esse and Stage

Contributor: DeliciousSurprise DeliciousSurprise
Hey guys. I know Eden doesn't sell the Esse and stage, but I know some of us are liberator aficionados and furniture collectors. Does anyone have the combination? Do you find the stage useful? Do you use your Esse for non-sexytimes? Tell me all about it cuz I'm trying to justify the purchase.

Of course, if Eden wanted to carry it (HINT, HINT, COUGH, COUGH.) I might find the leap a bit smaller.

I have neither, so my answer isn't helpful. But it should serve to bump the thread back up and give it a second chance to be answered.

I added the Esse Chaise to the "Eden Should Carry..." thread for awhile but gave up. I'm thinking it's too pricey for EF to carry regularly.

Well, we do sell it where I work, so I'd get an employee discount on the Esse--which still makes it expensive as fuck. It's not returnable, either, so I'd rather not make a commitment without knowing.

I have a friend that has the Esse. She absolutely loves it.

Yay, more positive feedback on the Esse.

Kindred, maybe we should start banging on the "CARRY THIS" threads, again?

I have the Esse Chaise, but not the stage. I wish Eden carried the Stage; I would buy it in a heartbeat. I really like the Chaise. It is narrower than the Esse. That's good for me because I am short. I can straddle the standard 24 in wide stuff, but I'm not the most graceful with the dismount.

I would like the stage to put on our Equus. I think that would make it a nice height for a massage table. I don't know that I would use it under the Chaise. The height of it is fine for our uses.

How do you feel about your Chaise? Do you like it? Dislike it?

I like it, but after getting it thought maybe it would have been better to go with the Esse. Let me explain.

The Esse chaise is 22 inches wide while the Esse is 24 in wide. I wanted it because I am short (5'2) and I thought it would be easier for me to straddle. It works really great for that. I can get on and off with ease. Straddling any piece at the standard 24 in width is a bit tricky for me. I can do it, but am not graceful with the mount or dismount. It's fine once I'm settled in though. So, the chaise is really good for me.

My husband is a different story. He has a bad back and the curve of the Chaise isn't real good for him. I think the Esse would have been better because it has the mini scoop that creates a flat surface for the small of the back. Because of his back issues, we don't use this as often as I would like. We use it more for foreplay and then we move to the bed or Equus. I don't think we have ever used it for i/c. We have tried putting various pillows in the curve to get it flat, but haven't found a solution that works yet.

I do use it for reading. It's very comfortable for that. I don't regret the purchase (but am very glad I bought in on clearance with an additional 20% off AND free shipping.) One day when the kids move out and we have more space we may buy the Esse as well. If EF ever carried it, I'd snap it up quick.
