Well, I have to say, Tantus products rarely get bad reviews, so in my opinion, this toy would be totally and completely worth the price. I have lusted after Purr for ages, but every time it comes down to getting it, there's lingerie that I want more. Ugh, I know. I can't resist! Lol.

However, I don't think purr's texture would be painful. If you've read much about Tantus, their silicone is always top quality. I actually don't think you get much better than Tantus.

Hope that was of any help. I don't own Purr, but would love to, and I doubt you'd be let down if you're really interested in it.

However, if you're looking for something with vibrations being the main focus, I'd probably think a little more on it. This just has a little bullet vibe that inserts at the bottom. It wouldn't be strong enough, or pleasurable enough for somebody like me who can't deal with bullet-vibrations. BUt the penetration alone would make this toy worth it for most. less
