I feel like they are, though I do lust after them. Sometimes, I look at those giant Kaboodles train cases made for makeup and think they'd work just as well. Some of them even lock. They're kind of cutesy, though I have seen stark black ones, and ones with lace overlay.

But yes, I do think toy storage boxes seem a little outrageous. I guess it all depends on how well they are constructed--for instance, high-quality leather, I can see paying for.

Not to turn this into an economics lesson lol but making a product is not cheap. It takes a huge investment, patents, marketing, etc.

The larger (and more successful) a company grows, the more buying power they have, the more flexibility they have with pricing from their suppliers. I don't think any of the companies selling storage products to the adult novelty industry are charging more than they need to to keep their businesses going. Ikea, and the like, have enormous amounts of buying power - so they can put something out for $25 that would cost a smaller company almost that just to make one!

Expense is relative to need. If you don't have children, a cleaning lady, roommate, etc that will get into your stuff then you can just use a shoe box under your bed. If you are concerned about your toys being discovered and you want somewhere safe to keep them so you have access and no one else does... can you really put a price on that?

As to expensive, compare a ToiBocks for example to a Lelo - they're both relatively in the same price range, both will last for a very long time and they're both sophisticated looking. Now consider, you can get 5 Lelo, but you'll only need 1 ToiBocks...

Just my .02c

I think they are a bit pricey but if it can be doubled as something else or easy disguised then I'd pay more for it

I literally just got a Caboodles train case today. It won't last me forever space-wise, but it will last until I have an apartment with my own room... and by the time I have too many toys for it I think I'd rather just get a lockable bedside table or something.

The ones I've seen on here seem reasonable to me.

I really need a toy CHEST though, but it's more economic to buy something that big locally

They are more pricey then other boxes. However, consider the size and cost of the toys. A much nicer product overall.

Thank goodness for POINTS, that is the only way I will ever have one. I really do need this, but not for the current price.
