Hello everyone, I ran into this situation:
Made an order, delivery service DHL commerce
when I tracked the track number, the weight of the parcel was 14 pounds, before sending to my country, they probably did one more weighing before sending and the weight is already written 24 pounds (
I have already come across such a situation when different weights are written at different points, but then the parcel began to weigh almost twice as much, this is my first time.
Has anyone encountered such a situation, and what can happen to such a package?

It could be that 24 pounds is the dimensional weight - the value that reflects the density of the package. Simply said, the shipping company calculates the amount of space the box takes up in the truck/plane/ship in relation to its actual weight.

If they have a lot of extra space there, then this is their problem, so that the main thing is that my parcel is delivered intact))
