Just a FYI!
I would like to share my experience for today (07/19).
I purchase an item worth $60 with EdenFantay for the 2nd time.
The 1st time EdenFantasy shipped it via DHL, so I did not have any problems receiving it. This was sometime Nov 2010.
Now EdenFantasy sent my 2nd purchase via international USPS (thinking that they will send it again via DHL, but didn't - to clear this up, EdenFantasy told me that they moved to another location and that they have to use the USPS now instead of DHL and if I wanted to have my packages delivered via DHL, I have to pay additional shipping fee for it), in which they just handed all their packages over to the PHILIPPINE POSTAL SERVICE.
To my surprise the CUSTOMS OFFICER of PHILIPPINE POSTAL SERVICE (LAS PINAS BRANCH) asked me to go to her office.
And informed me that the items I purchased are illegal, that they have to seized it for the basis of being OBSCENE and IMMORAL.
I told the officer that the items are not OBSCENE, as they are discretely packed and did not show any malicious content to the public.
But she still insist that they were OBSCENE and IMMORAL then filed a report stating that the items seized.
If I know, she just like to use it for her own pleasure. Who is IMMORAL now OLD LADY?
Anyway, the ending is I GOT NOTHING. Just a headache and an empty pocket.
NOTE TO ALL CUSTOMERS IN THE PHILIPPINES, WHO WANTS TO BUY PERSONAL STUFFS LIKE THIS. ASKED/REQUEST/DEMAND THE SELLER TO SEND IT VIA PRIVATE SHIPPING COMPANY. IT'S MUCH BETTER THAN USING THE INTERNATIONAL USPS THAT WILL ONLY HAND THE ITEMS OVER TO PHILIPPINE POSTAL SERVICE THAT HAS A CUSTOMS RULE THAT OBSCENE AND IMMORAL ITEMS ARE NOT ALLOWED AND WILL BE SEIZED BY THE PHILIPPINE CUSTOMS/GOVERNMENT. WHILE PRIVATE SHIPPING COMPANIES DELIVER THE ITEMS RIGHT AT YOUR DOORSTEP, NO HASSLE AND WORRY FREE.
