EDIT: Okay it appears it's going to arrive early (e.g., the day it should have said it would). I wish tracking systems would take the recipient's location into account when trying to figure out how long a package will take to get to you.



I clicked on this option for my order the other day, thinking it would be better than USPS.

I haven't been on EF in a while, but I think I've used UPS once before when ordering stuff off of EF and I didn't like it--it took much longer than it should have to get to me. I forgot about this when I made my order the other day. And I don't remember the exact UPS option I chose that time.

From what I understand, whatever is ordered on EF ships out of Atlanta, GA. I live one state over. One. Literally only *hours* away.

When I clicked on the UPS option for the first time and sent my order through, I saw that my estimated delivery date was much farther away than the delivery dates with USPS I'd had in the past. I thought, "Surely to God it won't take THAT long to get just ONE state over." But I was wrong. The site (both EF and UPS) told me it would be more than a week's wait. "Expedited" is a bit of a misnomer.

My question is WHY?
And HOW?!

ONE. STATE. OVER.
HOURS. AWAY.


I know I'm getting slightly irrational about this, but I'm single and I like my "me" time. less
