Shipping time to Canada?

Contributor: snowlights snowlights
I'm just wondering for people in Canada (west coast), how many business days from shipping does it take to arrive? I just want to know when I should start checking the mail before my mom, hahah (she is a nosy nosy one). The site says 5-10 days I believe, but every other site I have ordered from online takes over 2 weeks to get here.

Also, is it normal for an order to be "in process" for several days? I'm wondering if I should send a support ticket to ask about it but don't want to bother employees of EF if it's not needed.

Thanks!

You'll get the package by UPS, and if you go check the tracking number, you'll get a fairly good estimate on the day of delivery. I'm on the east coast and it can take up to a week to get it, but recently due to high fees from UPS, we're getting the International Expedited, and it's really quick. (It's a temporary solution though - to remember).

I got another package I had ordered (I made a larger order, forgot something and made a second smaller one with what I forgot) so maybe my main package will come this week.

I was surprised I had to pay them almost 20 dollars though, I've never had that happen before, so shipping ended up costing me almost 40 dollars-more than the order itself. International Expedited doesn't do that?

The second order came really fast, payment went through monday. But the status is still "in progress."

The minimal fee for shipping with UPS is 15 and quickly reached 20, but rarely goes more than that. How could it be 40$ more than the item itself?

Also, there was an issue lately where shipment were not said to be shipped even if they were. You should be getting it soon, and watch out if they ask for some COD, the value for duty clearance could be wrong (another system issue here where the value was overpriced by a lot). It is said to be fixed now, but I think it affected more than a few Canadian orders. And once you get it, you could ask for them to declare the order complete through a ticket (from the Account section).

In doubt, open a ticket like I said, and from experience you'll get a response within 24h. It's super quick and they're really helpful.

I paid 16 or so shipping on the site, and then when it got here they asked me to pay another 18 dollars (brokerage fee and taxes?). I was caught off guard since that's never happened before, and all I had was a 20. All I ordered was a bottle of lube and got something else on sale, which came to about 20 dollars, then the 16 for the shipping...then this extra 20 when I signed for the package.

I asked some of my friends that ordered as well and none of them had to pay extra a second time, so I'm not sure what I did differently from them that would cost more.

I did send a support ticket and was told there seems to have been an error about the international shipments recently so it seems that's what happened.

With a value of 16$, you are not supposed to pay any brokerage fees (not under 20$). A few bucks for taxes, maybe, but not that much. Look on your invoice they gave you and check in the section of the given duty value.

Hey, just quickly jumping in on all our Canadian shipping threads. If you do experience an abnormally high COD fee over the next few days, please submit a polite support ticket so Rachel and Megan can help. We are working on sorting it out, as Ilya has said, so just contact the girls and they will happily help!

ups is faster than usps, but usps doesn't charge pointless 'handling fee's' so I'm happier to use usps.
