#AskEden - Signing for our packages?

Contributor: Lioncub Lioncub
I had an order that was out to be delivered today, however when I got home I had a notification from the post office that it has to be signed for. Is this something new? I don't have time to go to the post office everytime I place an order.

It happened to me quite a few times, luckily, last time, I was home to receive it or I would have received a notification as well..

I've never had this problem but now with the new shipping options through UPS, ugh it probably will happen.

I've never had to sign for my packages, from either UPS or USPS

This is the first time in 2 years with this site that I've had to. Threw me for a loop that's for sure.

IIRC, I've never had to sign for an Eden package before, not even a big order, but the one delivered today required a signature.

I never had to sign anything but ever since they started using UPS, I have been here to get my things so far. The post office will just leave it on the porch which is okay where I live but not where my fiance does. We are pretty sure his neighbor stole 3 different packages despite telling the post office not to leave things TWICE.

Never had to sign for any of my packages; USPS just leaves it by the door and UPS takes it to the apartment rental office.

I always have to sign for my package but I'm also in Canada.

I've never had to before, but on this most recent order I made the tracking info says that signature will be required. So I guess I'll find out for sure when it arrives. Weird that they're doing that all of a sudden - I wonder why?

Yes, that's funny. I just received a package from USPS today and I had to sign. Never had to before. I live in an apartment and they usually just put it in a locked box for me to open. UPS never has me sign they just give them to me, haha.

Went to pick it up today and was told that even if my son was home he would not have been able to sign for it as it required an Adult Signature...someone over 21. Hope this isn't going to be ongoing now, I seldom get to the PO.

Hey guys! I know I'm asking you to go out of your way for me on this one, but I could use a huge favor from you all!

If you had to sign for your package please send me a private message with the shipping method, the order number and the state you live in please.

That's all I need. Then we can start investigating what's going on, my sources (and they're good sources ) tell me this is not something we have started doing. In order to find out if this is something on the carrier end, we need to investigate further and the above info would help a lot. Thank you!

I received a package today in the mail and I didn't have to sign for it.I usually get my things from UPS and I never have to sign for them either.

Thanks Stormy! I'll definitely let you know what happens.

How strange that this isn't coming from you guys! Maybe the Postal System is going even CRAZIER!

I'm not liking this new shipping method... especially if it's making it so that packages have to be signed for.

I hope this doesn't happen to me. Though, at least I am home all day. I still don't get along with my mail man or UPS guy. I don't think they like coming to see me so often. They throw my boxes and leave them in the damnest locations. I've had to call a few times. Yet another reason they don't like me.

I think UPS might be to blame. The order of mine that had to be signed for was shipped "Priority Mail" but looking closely at the shipping sticker it had UPS branding and legalese at the bottom.

It also said "USPS Adult Signature" on the box. I've NEVER seen that before on any retail delivery.

I'm also having this problem at the moment. My package has not arrived yet, but I saw it had had this "Adult Signature" feature on the tracking info. It was shipped via USPS Priority.

The whole reason I do USPS is so I DON'T have to sign for it, but this is even worse. I already have nosy family members who like to ask what is in my packages. Having it require an "Adult Signature" is quite suspicious. So much for discrete. =/

I just messaged Stormy the info she asked for, hopefully the lovely folks in charge will figure this out soon. I'll be holding off on future orders for the time being until this gets resolved.

Eh, we use UPS labels in the warehouse for all of our shipping, regardless of the carrier. That doesn't mean anything.

Ooooook ladies and gents - good news!!! The issue has been resolved as of yesterday afternoon. Orders that were placed before today, might require a signature but that should be it and all future orders will be just as discreet as they were before. We apologize for all of the trouble this may have caused. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to send me an email. stormy@edenfantasys.co m

Oh good, because you technically have to be 21 for this. I am, of course, but others might've been fucked over

Man, I am impressed. What other company hears about something like this and has it sorted in less than 48 hours?

You guys ROCK!!

I had to sign for my package today, and confirm I was over 21...which is funny since I am more than twice that *giggles*

I am glad to hear I won't have to do that again - even the postal clerk thought it was odd...

I actually didn't have to sign for it. Even though my tracking said I was going to have to. It was sitting on my porch this morning. I just assume my mailman didn't even pay attention to the label.

Same here, my postal clerk said she'd never seen that before.

I'm glad we won't have to worry about it anymore!
