Live Support/Chat Function - Have you used it?

For those of you that aren't aware, there is a live support/chat function available on EF. At the top of any page, there is an "Expert help" button. Click on that and a pop-up will tell you if it is currently available.

I've tried this a handful of times and never have I gotten it to work for me. I try to connect and it flashes "contacting" for about 10 minutes and then I get sent to the support ticket screen. My question: has anyone gotten this to work or is it something about my browser (Firefox on MacBook Pro)?

The very first time I used it, I got in touch with Megan and she was super helpful, which led to me writing an email to Ilya fan-girling all over her for it. The last three times I have tried to use it, no one would answer. But, I know that there are certain times where the girls may be on the phone helping customers or they may be away from their desks in general. So, now I go with the support ticket route.

Yeah, there are only a handful of staffers in that office. So, patience is appreciated.

I can't pick a favorite CS staffer...they all rock!

I have seen it but never used it. Anytime I have checked it says they are always offline. But then again I think I only checked it at 2am in the morning and I did not expect anyone to be available at that time lol.

Honestly though, never had need to use it. I know it's there and all but just never had a reason to try it out.

i think every time i've tried to use it, it's after hours so nobody's available.

One time I had an issue w/my credit card. I think I typed it wrong or something. I was worried my phone didnt have enough battery left to make a long call, so I used it (the help)and it worked great! I think it was during the morning.

I love Megan! I would almost try it just to get to talk to her *lol* But seriously, I had no idea this existed. Support tickets always work fine for me.

I've noticed it, but haven't ever tried it. I think most of those are connected to some sort of Instant Message software, so you might have to wait until someone sees the incoming message for a response.
