I'm wanting to send a giftcard to my girlfriend, if I buy it off her wishlist, do I have to actually wait for it to arrive for her to use it, or will I just get a card number and she can use it right away?

I would think she could use it right away. The other option would be to buy it on your account and just email her the number. That way you are guaranteed she can use it right away.

The only way to get around this is if you win a contest or something you can ask to be sent a gift card code instead of having the amount added to your point balance.
Ever since they made it so you can't transfer gift cards made with points from one account to another it's slowed things down a bit, but making it harder for people to point farm seems worth having to wait 2 days for a gift card.
